INTRODUCTION
Project management is process of making use of specific knowledge, skills, tools and
techniques in order to delivered some value to people living in the society. Project manager
through undertaking step related to planning, organising, staffing, controlling and monitoring key
activities is able to effectively manage the project and yield maximum outcome. This is report
that contain information related to an project of music event planned to be organised by TFL for
staging one of the famous operettas of playwright William G. Gilbert and composer Arthur
Sullivan.”
TASK 1
Project management plan
Project management plan is formal document that contain detailed related to the project such
as the way it will be carried, what all the objective are of project and interested stakeholders. So,
it outlines scope, goals, budget, timeframe, deliverable and methodology that has been used to
complete the project in successful manner. Such as:
Objective: The objective of organising the event is celebrating the 40 th anniversary of G&S
society and to unveil TFL strategic direction in order to stage one of the famous playwriter
William G Gilbert (Tereso and et.al., 2019).
Deliverable: Through the project it is planned to delivered a music event to the client for
celebrating 40 th anniversary of G&S society.
Methodology: It is set of principle and practices that are used by the project manager to
effectively organised the project and delivered event project. Agile, prince and waterfall are three
main methodology that could be used to manage the project successfully. Likewise, waterfall
methodology is a project management approach in which linear progress is being made i.,e from
beginning to the end of the project. In this methodology, firstly each phase needs to be completed
before the next phase begins. Prince 2 is another project methodology that is widely accept
across worldwide and by different organisation and it is flexible that allow changes regardless of
size and scale of project (Müller, Drouin and Sankaran, 2019). While, agile methodology is
used in project management that break project into several phases like planning, execution and
closure. Furthermore, it allows easily to team to adapt to new situation or circumstances for

achievement of set project objectives. So, Agile methodology has been selected for the project of
organising event as in its team can make significant improvement at release of each stage.
TASK 2
Network diagram and Gantt chart
Network diagram is graphical representation related to the activities associated with the
project, timeframe that will be included in order to complete the project successfully.
Furthermore, they help in effectively understanding the manner in which each and every activity
are related to each other’s and contributed in completion of project as desired.
