INTRODUCTION
Project management is a practice to initiate, plan, execute, control, close and monitor the
work of the team in order to achieve specific goals and objectives for a stipulated period and
given constraints. Project management is useful in determining the proper focus of the plan
which in turn leads to long term sustainable success and development of the particular event.
project planning helps in setting specific time frame and helps in defining the stages, resources
and time required to carry out certain activities. It helps in building comprehensive work plan
and make an effective budget plan to gain desired objective of the particular event.
This study will understand the project planning and project management. Project
planning and scheduling helps the person to manage the task according to time line, so that all
the activities are done in systematic manner. It will also help in creating a risk plan, as it is useful
in foreseeing the contingent activities and take necessary action to control such activity. Risk
assessment leads to higher success of the project. This study will furthermore control, evaluate
and schedule the project with the help of different project management tools. It will also
demonstrate how to exhibit an appropriate and effective leadership skills which leads to higher
success and growth of the project.

1.1 Role which is played by a project manager
Project management is a practice to initiate, plan, execute, control, close and monitor the
work of the team in order to attain specific objectives and goals in a stipulated period and given
constraints. Project management is classified into five stages which can be classified into five
stages which is referred to as plan, execute, control and closure of work in order to attain the
desired goals and meet specific success criteria for the set event (project management, 2019).
Project management is useful in integrating focus on key areas such as time cost, quality,
integration, scope, human resource, procurement, risk management, communication and
stakeholder management.
There are different roles of project manager are different in the organization. These roles
are important to finish up the project with high success rate and minimum chances of error. The
main role of project manager is to design effective plan for the particular project. This plan is
based on the goals of organization which are set by leadership of company (Thiry, 2016). There

is a particular process and method is used for all project and it is role of project manager to
decide the sequence of tasks that are important for project, various resources are needed in order
to achieve the project related targets. This is important for project manager to manage all the
resources that are part of plan without better resource it will be difficult to complete project with
in the paln. Other thing project manager need to handle are time and cost estimations. This is
important for organization to know how much time a particular project will take and what will be
the cost of it. By this time and cost estimation project manager will be able maintain the
progress. Apart from all these project manager is the person who leads whole team of project and
it is their duty to give proper direction to followers and employees.
A project manager is liable for different processes such as successful initiation and
closing of the plan formulated previously within a stipulated period of time. Project management
is responsible for managing the cost, time, resources and scope of the project (Kerzner, 2017).
They are responsible for project planning, communication planning, setting milestone and
allocation of activities or task. Project manager is responsible for taking strategic decision and
also helps in resolving conflict. They are responsible for assembling and leading project team,
managing time, budget, developing schedules, risk analysis, strategic influencing, portability
analysis, managing risk, quality and satisfaction, monitoring progress, reporting and
documentation, benefits realization, etc (Marier-Bienvenue, Pellerin and Cassivi, 2017). for the
“BEST MUSIC AWARD 2018” in Dubai.
1.2 Effect of “performance, scope, time and cost” on project.
Performance: The beginning occasion will be commenced by “Shakira” and the award
for the top-grade auditory communication will be conferred by the Aristocrat Shk Makhtoum.
The performance of the project helps company in demonstrating how well the project will
perform. All the necessary skills must be involved in order to attain better performance and
success for a particular project. The performance of the project can be improved by planning and
performance of the future project (Radujković and Sjekavica, 2017). Key performance indicator,
change in scope, budget compliance, number of defects, issues, stakeholder satisfaction can be
effectively analysed in order to attain high success for the particular project. Project performance
helps project manager to exert control over the event “BEST MUSIC AWARD 2018” in Dubai
for better results and outcomes.
