1. Project overview
The paper focusses on “Aussies Vacancies” that is one of the travel agency that is mainly
specialized in the rental of proper quality of catering as well as accommodation in Australia.
However, it is found that with the help of press coverage as well as surveys, the organization
generally get to know that the customers generally want a system with the help of which they can
book tickets online. For meeting the demands and requirements of the customer, the organization
mainly wants to develop a new internet based booking system. It is identified that around
$350,000 is required for executing the information system effectively.
2. Project risk
The organization may face a lot of issues and challenges in developing the online
booking system and the risks are mainly elaborated below:
Market risk
The development of an internet based booking system will be useful for the organization
for reaching to large number of customers. However, it is found that there a number of
organizations that uses booking system, therefore the organization may face competitive issues.
The chances of developing similar type of booking system by other competitive organization is
possible which may affect the business of Aussies Vacancies.
Financial risk
It is found that budget of around $350,000 is needed for the project execution and the
organization faces a lot of issues in managing the budget so that the entire booking system can be
developed effectively. The stakeholders who are associated with the organization are also not

confident in completing the project within the assumed budget thus, it is found that if the project
does get completed within the assumed budget then it generally can create a number of financial
issues as well as challenges within the organization. In addition to this, improper resource
management can also create a number of financial issues within the organization.
Technology risk
It is found that the project is not technically feasible due to absence of proper quality of
hardware that are required for developing the booking system quite effectively. In addition to
this, it is analyzed that if the software as well as hardware that are used in project does not
function effectively then it generally can cause a number of technical issues and challenges.
Moreover, it is analyzed that if testing is not done properly then the chances of occurring
technical risk after development of the project is quite high.
People risk
The people who are involved in the development of online booking system are
inexperienced and therefore they are facing a number of issues and problems in properly
developing the online booking system. However, the managerial people are skilled but they lack
experience and in order to handle an IT project they are facing a lot of obstruction as well as
difficulties during the progress of the project. In addition to this, there is presence of
communication gap between the team members as well as higher management of the
organization.
