INTRODUCTION
The project that is undertaken for this project management plan is manufacturing of a new
product. The product that will be managed through this project management plan is formulation
of toothpaste. The new product development consists of 7 steps involved in it that consists of
idea generation, Development, Feature specification, Launch, Testing, idea screening, as well as
evaluation. This report consists of project management plan for the formulation of toothpaste.
There is project scope defined in this report along with the approach of project management. The
milestone associated within the project is defined in the project. This report also consists of work
breakdown structure with the project cost and the project budget for completing the project. This
project plan also shows the schedule of the project and network diagram of the project. The
resources associated with the project are also detailed in the cost schedule. There is a plan of
scope management, plan of cost management, plan of change management for the project, plan
of procurement management, plan for quality management, plan for communication
management, and risk management, cost baseline, plan for staffing management, and the quality
baseline of the project.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT APPROACH
The project management approach that can be used for this project of toothpaste formulation is
agile methodology all the processes for completing this project is done in a parallel way. As the
project is a long term project, agile is the best approach of project management that can be used
for the project. Agile method of project management consists of characteristics and concepts
such as adaptability, speediness, and responsiveness. Agile methodology breaks down the project
in many sprints and for the formulation of toothpaste, the project needs to be divided in to small
sprints and thus agile is the appropriate approach for successfully completing the project.
PROJECT SCOPE
The scope of the project is to schedule the project according to the time and budget fixed for the
project. For executing the formulation of toothpaste, the time of project that is estimated is five
years and the cost of the project is estimated to be in between $1,000,000 to 1,500,000.
The work breakdown structure of the project is also considered as the scope of the project along
with the plan for change management, plan for risk management, communication plan, and plan
for quality management.

The milestones associated with the project is the tasks that takes zero duration for completing
and is important activity of the project. The milestone in a project represents sequence of project

SCHEDULE BASELINE AND WORK BREAKDOWN STRUCTURE
Work breakdown structure is the main deliverable of the project that helps in organizing the
work of a project so that the processes can be managed. The deliverables of the project in the
hierarchy is executed in the project team.
The dictionary of the document is detailed in the information that consists of deliverables,
scheduling as well as activity that are included in the work breakdown structure. The dictionary
of WBS mainly describes all the components on WBS with the milestones, activities, project
scope, resources, quality, resources, and deliverables that are included in the project. WBS
dictionary is used to meet the scope of the project in many number of ways.
Schedule baseline is a project schedule which is agreed by the stakeholders of the project before

CHANGE MANAGEMENT PLAN
The change plan includes of some set of steps that can be followed for establishing change
management plan in a project. Change management plan helps in managing the change process
in the project. It also ensures that the budget remain in control, satisfying the project schedule,
project scope, resources and the communication in the project. The steps in change management
process are discussed below:
1. Requirement for Change Request process flow: In this step, the need of change is stated by the
teammates of the project and all members of team needs to agree on the project.
