2PROJECT MANAGEMENT PRINCIPLES Introduction: Principles of project management is important so that a project can be completed successfully (Kerzner, 2017). In this aspect a project has been initiated which is regarding redevelopment of Uber application. By the redevelopment of Uber application directive approach will be provided to the drivers of the Uber and due to this fact a fast driving experience will be achieved. It has been assessed that the project management practices and implementations has a greater inspiration on the success or the failure of the project (Kerzner, 2018). The practices and the implementations must be done in a proper way so that the project becomes successful. With that it has been also assessed that project competences also impacts the success and the failure of the project. Thus in this aspect first the practices of project management and implementation will be discussed and following that how these factor impact the success factor or failure factor of the project will be discussed. In the further section of this project, competencies regarding project team will be discussed and how they impact success and the failure of the project. Project Management Practices and Implementation: From the project of the Uber application redevelopment I have learned various aspects related with project management. In this case, one of the important aspect was the project managementpracticesandimplementation.Ihavesuccessfullyassessedthatproject management practice and implementation is crucial for completion of the Uber application redevelopment.Ihavesuccessfullyassessedthatpracticesofprojectmanagementand implementation are the methodologies, techniques and tools, process and many more other aspects which is crucial for completion of the project. I have successfully learned that there are

In this aspecttherearevariousofimportantprojectmanagementpracticeswhichneedstobe implemented so that successful completion of the project can be achieved. I have successfully assessed that project scope defining and the objective of the project is one of the important practices so that project can be completed successfully. Scope and the objective of the project must be defined properly before commencing to the project so that project always remain in the right track. Another important aspect of the project management practices is the defining deliverables of the project. The deliverable of the projects must be defined properly so that execution of the project can be tracked with the respect of project deliverable. In this aspect, proper communication also need to be established with the project team so that project each and every detail of the project can be forwarded to the project team which is also very much important for redevelopment of the Uber application. I have also learned that tracking and reporting of the progress of the project crucial for successful project completion. While the project is in the execution stage it must be tracked properly so that it can be ensured that project is always heading at the right direction. In this aspect reporting of the progress of the project is also crucial (Heikkinen, 2016). While the project of Uber application redevelopment will be in the progress, I have also learned that there can be various type of risks in the project. Here all of the risks of the project must be mitigated adequately so that successful outcome of the project can be gained. Risks can affect the project heavily and can have negative impressions on the project (Kliem & Ludin, 2019). Thus risk must be mitigated properly for the projects. These are the important practices regarding the projects which must be followed properly for success outcome of the project. The project implementation is the logical conclusion of the whole project which is determined after evaluation, visioning, detailing and planning. The practices of project management is also having a greater influence on the success or the failure of the project (Golini, Kalchschmidt & Landoni, 2015). The success and the failure of the project depends on several of parameters which includes time for project completion, cost for the project and quality of the project. A project become successful when the project completes within the deadline (Hande & Phillippi, 2018) of the project and the project cost is also feasible in nature. Also, the project must maintain all of its quality to become successful in nature. So, I have learned that the project must fulfil these criteria to become successful in nature. Now, the project management practices can impact all of these criteria heavily. Like, if the project is not having any type of deliverables set then the cost of the project cannot be set (Eskerod & Jepsen, 2016). If a project is not having a proper budget, then the project very likely going to be failed. Also, if the scope of the project is not placed properly then chances of completing the project within the deadline is very much less and if the project does not completed within deadline then also the project becomes fail. Thus indirectly, the project management practices are actually influencing successful completion of the project. If the practices of project management are followed properly then the success rate of the project becomes much higher (Binder, 2016) where if the practices of project management is not properly then it is very much natural that the project is going to be failed. Competencies of Project Team: The basic elements of the project team is the peoples who carries out the project. Upon the decision of the project team member success or the failure of the project depends (Brière et

For achieving the project success it is very much crucial that the project team member consists some important skills and competencies so that they will be able to perform entrusted tasks. Defining the concept of competences is quite difficult. In basic way, the competence is the skills, abilities and the qualifications (Nicholas & Steyn, 2017). These competences need to be possessed by the team members of the project for success outcome of the project. InthisprojectofUberappredevelopmentIhavealsoassessedthattheproject competence has a great influence over the success and failure of the project. The competences regarding project team is very much important so that project completed successfully. The competencies of the project is actually the skills and the abilities which are possessed the project team members. If the project members is not having proper skills and the abilities for project execution, then the project is likely going to be failed. For successful project completion it is very much important that the project team members must consist proper skills and abilities so that they can use it in the project which will be helping to complete the project (Radujković & Sjekavica, 2017). In this way the project competences will be impacting the overall project so that it becomes successful. Risk management is another important aspect of the successful project completion where the project team competencies has a greater influence (Hopkin, 2018). For the project of Uber app development, some specific tools and techniques has been utilized which are based on the risk management of this project. For this project of Uber app redevelopment, review of documentation is one of the standard way of assessing the risks and it can be done by review of the project related document which includes organizational processes, lessons learned and project related assets. For this project brainstorming is also performed with some specific group

In this aspect it will be analyzed that whether the Uber application will be benefitting the drivers for picking up the passengers from the location of pickup as well as reaches them to their destination point. Conclusion: The above discussion concludes that project management practices and implementation is very much important for successful completion of the project. It has been assessed that there are various of project management practices which must be followed properly for the successful project completion. Here the project of Uber application redevelopment has been considered and important project management practices for this project has been identified in this case. A brief explanation of the project management practices has been discussed in this report. It is also discussed that how the project management practices can influence the success or failure of the projects. In the further section of this report competencies of the project team has been also elaborated and a brief understanding of the project team competencies has been discussed. In this case also how the project team competencieshas a greater impact on the success of the project has been elaborated.
