INTRODUCTION The project management is defined as the way through which a person actually organises as well as manage the resources which are necessary for accomplishment of project. This involve appropriate application of techniques, skills, tools and knowledge over the project in order to timely completion of project. The project management involves five phases such as initiating, planning, execution, monitoring & controlling and closing(Bucero and Englund,2015). The current project is based on establishing a store of bamboo bicycle that are designed as per the demand of customers. This report involves the monitoring and controlling phase of the project executed earlier. along with this it also present the end of project evaluation project to determine what went right, what not, things that get changed within plan etc. to present overall summary and experience through the project (Tereso and et. al., 2019). MAIN BODY Discuss the relevant project management monitoring and controlling phase The monitoring and controlling is one among the crucial stage of a project management which consists of several cations to be taken to ensure that project get accomplished in effective manner as planned at the time of planning process. This involves activities like identification of issues identified after implementation of project, risks that get arise and deploying the risk mitigation strategy by totally controlling over the actions that are planned to execute for mitigation of risk. The main reason behind executing this stage within project management is to ensure that the risk involve within the project can be identified and taking up corrective actions so that such issues can be eliminated for completing the project(Eskerod and Jepsen, 2016). Within managing and controlling face the actual performance of project is compared with the planed one which help in determining the gap between the performance and reason behind it. this allow the project manager to take up right decision for dealing with the issue. In context of current project which is about opening of Bamboo bicycle store, there are certain issues which has been found through the project. These includes the manufacturing of bicycle as per the need and demand of consumers(Padalkar and Gopinath, 2016). So, for dealing with this issue an analysis of sale pattern was performed with the past record of last weeks which help in identifying the assumed demand for the bamboo bicycles. With the help of this it can be monitored by the project manager that how the demand flows in market so that product remains 3
in stores always. Additionally, for controlling this situation of out of stock, a regular assessment of bicycle demand will be analysed so that this issue can be mitigated. Despite of this other issues that identified through project execution are completing all the tasks of a given project in timely manner within set deadlines and to working errors from unskilled workers(Lock, 2016). This in turn not only increased the time taken by work of the project rather also increasing the cost of the company. For dealing with the issues the appropriate timeline was created for keeping the each individual clear about the deadline they have to complete their work. This help in guiding them to perform actions along with time assigned to them so that things get accomplished on timely manner. Other than this a regular on the work training was given to the workers so that they become able to develop their skills and can be understand more practically the way they have to perform work. This in turn help in improving their skills and learn how to enhance the quality of their work. So, by monitoring the learning nad development of the workers for production of bamboo bicycle the quality was controlled and maximum outcome in term of sale has been achieved. End of project evaluation report This report was about opening up of a bamboo bicycle stores for designing, delivering and creating the bicycles as per the demand of customers in order to make them satisfied with the offering of the stores. this project ensures to bring up with such a plan where the customers have the power in their hand where they can demand for the type of deign of a bicycle they want and they get it designed by the bamboo bicycle stores(Kerzner and Kerzner, 2017). This help the entrepreneur in entering in penetrating into the market in short span of time and at the same time get loyalty and satisfaction among the customers which provide with more word of mouth publicity. This project was planned over some objectives to be accomplished through this, which includes, ï‚·The main objective behind conducting this study is to offer high quality bicycles to the market base with setting up a bamboo bicycle stores. ï‚·To create unique design bicycles which attract more customers to the stores which are designed with bamboo that remains main source of attraction. These was the objective over which project was assigned to me that is to develop a store of uniquely designed product(Borkovskaya, 2018). This project remains successful as this involve a new product i.e. bicycles which was designed with the bamboo tree that remains a piece of 4

attraction for people around who move from front of the store. This help in making this project more successful. So, its new concept over designing the bicycle was remain successful project for me. Other than this its approach to design the bicycle as per the demand and need of customers also act as way to make more and more customers get attracted toward it and trying out the product. This project brings up several kinds of learning to me which will surely benefit me in future when I again assigned with a project to be conducted. This project help me in enhancing my knowledge in term of several area that are covered within a project and help in performing the project in accomplishing it on timely manner(Lientz and Rea, 2016). This report help me a lot in learning about the way a project get accomplished while considering the concern of stakeholder. Additionally, also help in determining how to prepare risk register, work breakdown structure, project initiation project etc. which all support in accomplishing the project in effective manner while avoiding the any kind of risk that can affect the quality of project and increase its cost. Other than this I also learnt about the ways in which the risk is to bifurcate to develop actions to perform as per the severity of its impact on project activities such as mitigation strategy, pre action, post action and contingency(Ramazani and Jergeas, 2015). This was an unexpected thing about which I was not aware earlier. Other than this I was also benefited to develop my skills as a project manager where I learnt the skill of team management, time management, monitoring the tasks and ensuring its accomplishment as per planned. This will support me in developing my knowledge and expertise in this area with which I can perform well better in future projects and be able to achieve my targets. The scope of project was decided to be a wide where the designs of bicycles are prepared as per the demand of customers. But as the project scope was wide it become difficult to manage with the original scope decided for the project. As each individual is different in term of their design pattern and demand which in turn make it difficult for preparing each time a bicycle with new design which is also time taking and increasing the cost of the projects(Walker, 2015). Additionally, the owner of the store doesn’t have much skilled workers so it can be said that at starting the project was as per the scope decided i.e. designing the bicycle as per the customers demand. but as the time passes it getting more difficult for the store owner as well as the worker to meet up with daily new demand for design of customers. This in turn taking the project out of the decided timeline and also at the same time budget which was assigned for the project. This is 5
so because for creating new designs about each bicycle this make the task for difficult for the workers which take more efforts and time of their along with certain additional resource for developing the design demand by the customers. Addition to this the increase in time also lead the increasing the expense of the project and cross the budget decided for performing this particular project. As the things are getting more complicated with the planned prepared earlier i.e. providing the more customised product using bamboo tree as per the demand and design presented by customers(Garton and McCulloch, 2012). A slight change has been made within the plan, where some set of design are prepared as per the demand get by customer at the starting of project. By having some number design within the store it was decided to present the new customers with those deign and ask them to choose from them only which will further designed from them. Other than this it was also added to plan that the performance of workers will be evaluate on regular basis to determine the requirement for improving skill and area where it is needed. After gathering full information regarding the area of improvement the training session was planned to organise for worker if they won’t be able to cover up their weakness with the help of task assigned to them. This bring up the positive effect over the project as by taking up this step I become able to reduce the extra time as well as cost taken for completing the task involve with project related with the designing of bicycle and also help in increasing the efficiency of task performed by the workers(Demirkesen and Ozorhon, 2017). As it reduced the burden of worker as they now have to design bicycle as per some set design instead of changing it on regular basis due to varying demand of customers. This not only increased the complication for the employees in performing work but also increase the cost and time of the project. So, by setting up certain designs of the bicycle the cost and time of the project can be reduced and at the same time with the repetition of work the efficiency of worker get enhanced. This project brings a greater experience for me and I become able to learn several new things with the help of this project. This support me in enhancing my skills, expertise and knowledge base within project management practices. Throughout this project I was required to interact with my team members on regular bases and guide them over the work to be performed. This in turn help me in enhancing my communication skills as by regularly working over this I become able to improve my skills which supported me in making me capable of presenting my views and information in right manner. Other than this I also being able to improve my team 6
working skills which was not much good earlier but this project taught me several trick and ways about how to manage work effectively with team. From this project I have learnt that planning plays a significant role in directing the actions performed toward the aim of project nada los help in accomplishing it on timely manner(Meredith, Shafer and Mantel Jr, 2017). But on the other side I learnt that for ensuring that plan works effectively a regular evaluation of the project activities and plan must be performed so that gaps or errors can be removed. While working with the project everything run smoothly that is from performing planning, to arrange resources, starting execution of plan, setting up store and designing the bicycle as per the demand of customers. These were planned very well and I also become able to execute all these tasks in effective manner. But as the time passes, we found it difficult for the designing all the bicycle as per the demand of customers which in tur not only increasing the time in producing it but also increasing the cost of the operation. Si this was the part which do not went well and require an instant change within the plan formed for the project execution. Another thing that was not going well while execution of project was that the workers that are arranged for the project to design the bicycle was not much skilled or experience which in taking up more time to perform their work and at the same time also undertaking several mistake which is increasing the cost of production. Hence, I want to present some recommendation for future project, while being a part of such project it is essential for the project manager to first determine the skills nod capability of the workers who are involve in the project and must focuses toward involving skilled employees. But in case when the skilled workers are not available, then in such case the project manager must also add a point for training or skills enhancement in budget to keep the scope for developing skill of worker and ensuring better outcome in return. There are several risks that are involved within the project but the essential which can affect the overall project was about increasing cost of the project(Papke-Shields and Boyer- Wright, 2017). This I found earlier before it actual started representing it through the outcome. As when I was observing the worker while designing the bicycle using bamboo, I came to know that they are not much skills and also have less developed to handle such as vast project. As they are making several mistakes which are increasing the time duration, but as the mistake are so that can also leads to damage of available raw material or increase the wastage then I was sure that it will definitely increase the cost of project and cross the budget line. So, I make changes in the plan and provide them with the similar designs to make which they already created once. This 7

constant repetition of the work allows them to realise the mistake they are undertaking which reduced the error repetition(Turner, 2017). This was the risk which is unavoidable but this action helps me in minimising the risk which remain very much helpful in managing the risk and ensuring better execution of work. CONCLUSION From the above presented report it can be summarised that for effective accomplishment of project appropriate managing of its activities and practices are required to be managed effectively. This remains crucial for a project manager to perform a proper planning for completing a project before actually executing it. Other than this for ensuring that each action planned for the project runs smoothly, the project management must perform regular monitoring and controlling of the project which support in identifying nay gap or deviation within the planned and actual performance. So, by gathering information from this improvement can be made over the overall performance which in turn further help in improving the quality of work and final outcome of the project. 8
