INTRODUCTION
Project management is being defined as the process of application of different types of
the methods, process, skills and knowledge in order to attain a specific project objective. The
present study is based on AMT and its development and expansion project. AMT that is Agile
Management Training is a spin off training company coming from a large university which is
based in central Scotland. The company has been successfully being delivering a wide range of
management courses to the student. In the present report the company is seeking for leveraging
its presence within the marketplace. Hence, the key objective of the present report is to develop a
project for the expansion of the various courses in order to become the market leader. The
current project management of AMT will start by structuring the team for the completion of the
project. Further, the business case for the project will be made which will make clear the
objective of the study. Moreover, the project will also outline the plan of project with help of
flow diagram and project deliverables. In the end, project approach that is how the website will
be created will be analysed.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT TEAM STRUCTURE
For the success of project, the most essential aspect is that company must make a well-
educated and skilled team member (Ika and et.al., 2020). This is particularly because of the
reason that when the company will be having good team then this will increase the working
efficiency of the project management. The reason pertaining to this fact is that all the stages
within the project management will be undertaken by the employees only. Hence, if the team
members or employees within the project management will not be good then this will affect the
working capability and successful completion of the project to a great extent.
Hence, for the success of the project of development of a website for AMT the personnel
will be selected in such a manner that it results in successful completion of the project. The team

By referring to this, it can be stated that there are three position and five vacancies which
is necessary to be fulfilled in order to successfully accomplish the project. The estimated cost of
hiring the employees has also been listed and with help of this AMT can estimate the total cost of
employment within the project (How to manage a project team? 2021). In addition to this these
employees will be working on part time basis as they are already having prior work and
commitment. In addition to this they will only be providing five hours a day. This implies that
the estimate cost for every employee will be as follows-

Hence, with this table it is clear that for the per day the rate for employees is 600 for
system analyst, 550 for one business analyst and 1100 for two. In the similar manner for the

software development 450 is for a single software developer and for two it will be 900. Further
the total cost of five employees of the project team per day will be 2600. Along with this they
will work five hours every week. So the total cost of all the five employees for the week will be
15600.

This is the structure which outlines the structure that is which people will be included in the team
and will undertake the work in effective manner.

BUSINESS CASE
The business case involves the actual problem or the aim of the project that is the reason
for which the project has been initiated. In the present case of AMT the major aim of the project
is to develop and expand the business in such a manner that operations of the company increases
along with increase in market share (Radujković and Sjekavica, 2017). The major reason behind
the development of the business case is that this will provide a brief overview to the employees
and the team member that is what work need to be undertaken. In the present case of AMT they
are planning to improve the operations of the company by adding to the courses which will be
provided to the student. This will involve providing the student with more option for the student
to learn different types of courses and want to expand the business in three different locations
within Scotland that is Glasgow, Aberdeen and Edinburgh.
The different types of courses being provided by AMT are as follows-

risk which will outline the
different types of the risk
which can take place during
the project. This course will
assist the students in
developing knowledge relating
to the fact that how they will
have to mitigate the risk. The
course duration of this
programme is around 40 hrs
and a test will be conducted
after the course is being
complete.
Change management Open/ closed This course involves the
knowledge relating to the
various models which will be
assistive in the development
and implementation of
different types of the models
relating to change. This course

has a duration of 50 hrs and an
online test will be conducted
to assess the fact that whether
student have gained
knowledge relating to the
course or not.
ITIL Open/ booked up This is referred to as
Information Technology
Infrastructure Library which
involves the analysis of
detailed practices relating to
the IT service management.
The duration of the course is
approximately 45 hrs and a
test of 2 hours will also be
conducted to ensure that the
student gained all the
knowledge relating to the
course or not.
Further the business case expanded on the case that for the successful implementation of
the new courses and expansion a business will be provided and along with development of a
website (Silvius, 2017). The major cost of the development of course is the payment made to
every personnel within the team. In addition to this another cost will be the cost of infrastructure,
researching cost and implementation cost of the new website and marketing of it. Along with this
cost the major benefit of this expansion will be that when student will join the courses then this
will improve the profitability of AMT. The average gross profit per student coming for the
course will be £50 and the business overhead will be 10 % of the gross profit. In addition to this
average number of delegate per delivered course is 8. Furthermore, the venue for the course will
be undertaken only for 10 months in a year as they also have to cater for the holiday of the

student as well. Moreover, the marketing team of AMT assumes that when they will generate
website then this will attract and stimulate extra one or two delegates per course.
PROEJCT PLAN
The project plan is a document which outlines the steps that are undertaken in order to
complete the study and implementation of project in successful manner (Papke-Shields and
Boyer-Wright, 2017). The reason pertaining to the fact is that when project plan will be clearly
mentioned and described then this will motivate the employees to work in required manner.
Hence, this is pertaining to the reason that this project plan will give guidance to the employees
as how they have to work in order to complete the work in effective and efficient manner.

Product description
The major two deliverable of the product from the above PFD are taking online survey from
student (Picciotto, 2020). In addition to this another deliverable which is crucial for the success
of the project is the website must be optimised for Google ranking must be addressed. Both these

deliverable are very essential for AMT as these two deliverables will be helpful to the company
to develop and expand the business within the new market place and to develop the website as
well. Both these deliverable are necessary because if the website will not be liked by student then
this will be problematic for the company. to attract delegates for the course. In addition to this,
when the website of the company will not be ranked good by Google and other similar website
then this will affect the working of the website to a great extent (Rodríguez-Rivero and et.al.,
2020). As a deliverable both the website related deliverables are selected as this is the most
important part in the success of website. This is particularly because of the reason that the for the
success of the courses at AMT then this will affect the working of the company to a great extent.
Title Taking online survey
Purpose The major purpose of taking this online survey is that this will
assist AMT in researching about the need ad requirement of
student.

so that website is being liked by most of the people

of 5 in order to run it.
It could also have a well- structured discussion forum in case of any
discrepancy.

Wont This won’t involve the facility to the student to have notes over the
websites. This is particularly because of the reason that for notes
student have to attend the classes and make the notes by themselves.
The company won’t be using any of the other copyright or patented
text and information within their website.
PROJECT APPROACH
This is being defined as the approach which is being used for the successful completion
of the project. This is necessary as when the approach is clearly mentioned or defined then this
assist the company in successfully completing the project (Kivilä, Martinsuo and Vuorinen,
2017). This is particularly because of the reason that when AMT will not be having a better
approach for the selection and completion of the project will assist them in completing the
project in successful manner. For the current project the major aspect to be ensured for success is
proper creation of the website. The reason underlying this fact is that the website will assist
AMT in attracting more of the people to come to the place and have some of the courses relating
to project management. In addition to this, the use of approach will assist the company in
developing the website by following some of the stages which are as follows-
 The first and foremost step of the creation of website is the registering of the domain
name of the company. This domain name must reflect the product or the service which
the company is offering. This is particularly because of the reason that when the company
will choose such a domain name which involves the feature or the product or service of
the company and this will provide an idea to the consumer that which type of product and
services will be provided to the consumers.
 The next step for the successful completion of the website is to find a web hosting
company (Tereso and et.al., 2019). This is necessary because of the reason that when the
good website hosting company will not be effective then it might be possible that website
created is not good and effective. Hence, it is necessary for AMT that they must find the
best web hosting company.
 The next stage of this website development process involves the preparing of the content
in as if the content will be good and effective then this will attract more of the student
(Bjorvatn and Wald, 2018). Hence, it is essential for the company to manage and

maintain the content of the website. This is necessary as if the content of website will be
good and attractive then this will motivate the students to go to the place and increase
their knowledge.
 The last stage for the successful development of the website and business expansion of
AMT is the building of the website. Under this stage the website is finally built and the
student and all other interest people have access to the website. All the information and
relevant facts and figures are being uploaded within the website and this increases
interest of the students. The major reason pertaining to the fact is that when the design of
the website will be good then this will attract more of the people to come within the
university and join the courses.
Hence, in the end it can be stated that the use of proper and clear approach assists the
company in managing the project in effective and successful manner. The reason pertaining to
the fact is that when the approach of working is being followed in proper and effective manner
then this will attract more of the students (Borkovskaya, 2018). The reason pertaining to the fact
is that the approach makes it clear that how the company will be attracting more student with
help of the effective development of the website and by focusing on the five subjects which it is
providing to the students. Also, the development of the website is of utmost importance as this
will assist the company in managing and attracting more of the people to come to the training of
different courses relating to project management.
CONCLUSION
In the end, the above report summarised that project management is being defined as the
application of different knowledge, skills, process in order to complete the project in successful
manner. The above report analysed that if the project need to be completed in successful manner
then this will result in attainment of objectives of the study. The report concluded that the
making of the effective team is very important as this will result in effective completion of the
objective of project. Further it evaluated that listing out deliverable on basis of MOSCOW is
very helpful for success of the project. In the end, it was evaluated that the use of effective
approach to management of project is essential for success of the company.
