INTRODUCTION
Project has to be delivered on time for extracting benefits. Present report deals with
Relish Hospitals which needs to create database application for its patients for gaining
transparency. Aims and objectives will be discussed along with scope and boundary of project.
Moreover, business case will be highlighted. Project Management Plan will be made by using
Gantt chart and Work-breakdown structure. Quality Management Plan and Risk Management
Plan will be produced for business and further constraints regarding project will be explained.
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
Aim: To create a database application for a hospital to manage information of patient,
accreditation- Relish Hospitals
Objectives:
To create software with high quality.
To frame better coordination among hospital staff and authorities.
To create unified work system of every medical department.
To assess medical history, laboratory results, medication provided from software
SCOPE AND BOUNDARY
The hospital could gain advantage with effective utilization of project management to a
plan, schedule and for anticipating outcomes. It will help in giving better care to its patients in
effective aspect and to attain and raise productivity (Groomer and Murthy, 2018). In the same
series, this will lead to increase quality of care and its processes in hospital for managing there
day to day operations. There are various healthcare projects which fail due to improper planning
and anticipation of various unforeseen circumstances. Furthermore, the implementation of
project management methods in appropriate aspect will lead to raise success rate of projects by
giving tools for mitigating and anticipation risks (Rostami, Creemers and Leus, 2018). In turn,
this will help in improving financial and quality performance of Relish Hospitals along with
brand reputation as well.
BUSINESS CASE
The database application helps in saving money, energy and time of both patient and
hospital as well. For instance, an individual suffering through mental illness and substance abuse
visited variety of local hospitals on regular basis which lead to infection (Nicholas and Steyn,
2017). This is bad for patients and hospital as well as it is waste of precious resources.

In order to this, hospitals could use database where is presence of patient records as if
they are treated already with certain tests along with their outcomes and will prevent through
unnecessary assignments. In the present scenario, individuals are highly relied on computerized
systems comparatively to manual and this will lead to high level of trusts in processes and
systems. The connectivity will be maintained among patients and peripheral systems while
managing operations through multiple automated systems (Goldberg, Asok and Lee, 2017).
Furthermore, database application will help in giving better concerned environment
among doctors, patients, hospital staff, group and for managing workflow. In this aspect, it has
capability for unifying legacy application and handling multitudes of requests of user with
outcome in uninhibited information flow among patients, staffs and doctors.

Activities-
There are various heads and sub-activities being included in Gantt chart. It can be
evaluated that main heads of activities are Project Management, Designing of database
application, Application Development, Database Development, Application Testing and
Maintenance and Operations. In these activities, various sub-activities are included which will be
completed so as to create database application for the hospital.
Resources-
The resources such as technical, human and financial resources are being included in
order to complete project in the best manner possible (Kerzner, 2017). The resources are scarce
and require to be allocated in effective manner by which project deliverable may be attained with
ease. Moreover, it can be analysed that organisation will accomplish project within stipulated

Costs-

directly increase cost for engaging additional resources for fixing deliverable and thus, increase
time to deliver will be found. While, scope creep happens, then it will maximise cost, time,
resources and quality will be reduced.
CONCLUSION
Hereby it can be concluded that project management is required for completing project in
accordance to project objectives. Relish Hospitals will create database application which will be
helpful in maintaining information of patients in a better manner. The database will contain
information such as medical history, laboratory results, medication provided etc. This will help
business to focus on health of patients more accurately and information may be available to them
at their disposal. Furthermore, project management plan has been made along with Gantt chart
and Work-breakdown structure highlighting completing of project within time. Thus, project of
creating database application will be completed in time.
