INTRODUCTION
Project management refers to the discipline of applying the specific processes of leading
the work of a team to achieve the goals and objectives and meet the criteria at the specific period
of time. The primary of the project management is to accomplish the all the project goals within
the given time constrain. And all information about the criteria are described in the project
documentation that is made at the beginning of the development process. The primary constraints
includes it scope, time and budget, and the secondary challenge is to optimize the allocation of
the all the essential inputs and apply them into the practices in order to meet the pre-defined
objectives. The objective of the project management id to produce complete projects that are
align with the clients objectives or requirements(Kerzner, 2018).
In addition to this planning and coordination is the essential aspect in the construction
project in order to meet the objectives in the given time. Planning refers to the process of making
the pre-plan for the activities which is required for accomplishment of the goals, and
coordination can be seen as the process of managing resources in the organised manner so that
higher level of operational efficiency can be achieved for the given project. This report is consist
of the Gantt chart that will illustrate a project schedule, three major elements that is ceded to
complete project along with its time duration, analysis of the allocation of labour, plant and
material with reference of health and safety legislation moreover it includes the structure of the
project management team (LARSON, and GRAY, 2018).

Gantt chart is a bar chart which is commonly used in project management. In which it
given visual view of tasks scheduled overtime. It gives a graphical view of scheduled which
helps and support to make plan, coordinate along with particular task and element in a project. In
the relation of construction Gantt chart shows a clear visual colour bar presentation a number of
particular task with in certain time of period. The managers of projects use construction Gantt
chart to implement or adjust the task, relationships, lead the task period, update outcomes, select
the resources and generate cost reports etc. In the construction Gantt chart, construction
management is responsible for the project. Construction management is a professional service in
which it combine with high project management studies, theories, and model of plan, structure

and construct a infrastructure. As usually construction management involves the control of
project period, budget, safety records, inspection of construction, risk administration and quality
sureness. So in this construction management along with the task have been used in construct
many places for example: schools, home residential, hospitals, airports, hotels or many other
thing. All the things comes under the construction management. How work is going on it shows
through Gantt chart with the help of graphical method (Picciotto, 2020). Lets move forward
why Gantt chart is useful in construction management. Time and project management always
consider as a critical in construction administration projects. Construction Gantt chart are great
for leading or managing different kinds of projects relationships. Such as task in manner way, the
preference level of particular project. The dependency of project, time duration of particular
projects and more. In this construction Gantt chart build a huge network based upon logical
progression among a final success of a task. Gantt charts are best way to recognise or analyse the
work performance and way to keep construction projects on scheduled and make sure to

Organise: In this activity it organise the plan into various phases such as: pre
construction, close out and construction. This activity construct the project in different
segments which shows the sequence of work and perform in ethical manner.
Monitoring: Each and Every construction task have their milestone, in which it needs to
ensure the things and lead the directions in significant manner. Which sets the contracts
approvals, documentation, inspection of construction, Even though phase manoeuvre as

Stream line and document scheduled changes: This activity involves the dependencies
of task which can boost the scheduled adjustments and it ensures the work continuous to

the residential purpose in which it needs an various elements in the successfully completion of
the project. Some of the major elements that are needed are described below on the priority
basis:
Major elements
Capital resource: This is an major element for me to start the construction project.
Capital resources is refers to the economic concept that define as the man-made elements which
has been employed to produce a goods and services. They are the resources which will allow me
to carry out the productive activities which is construction of the residential building, in this
process of construction, capital resources are needed for tools, equipments and machinery which

is exploits by me to produce an outcome that will be positive and effective. These resources are
used by the manufacturing and service companies, although application of this concept is broad
enough to be used in this context, but here it is used in the manufacturing of the building which
used as residential. From this project and from this element I will enhance my skills and ability
in the various ways, such as about the sources of the funding for the project, machinery and
equipments that are suitable for the production as well as cost effective that help me to get the
positive and economic outcome. Along with this I will gained knowledge about market research
that how it is conducted and what are aspects that are included in the research to get valuable
results. This project needs an £2,22,190.95 capital for making an residential building from which
I will raise the 50% of money from the bank loan and 25% from the angel investors and rest
from my own savings. With this process of raising funds, I have also learned about the various
factors of the interest rates, borrowing and landing rates, and impact of changes in rates on the
capital amount. Moreover, money is borrowed for the duration of the 1 year, as it will be an 10
stories of building (Mavi, and Standing, C., 2018).
Human resource: For this production of the building, human resources is the second most
needed element. This is refers to the set of the people that all together make up the workforce of
the organization, business sector, industry or economy. This is used to described the most
valuable resources in any organization which is people who work for the business and the
departments that manages all the matters related to those people. In this project of construction of
building, I will heir or recruit the 2 candidates for the human resources department, 4 for the
finance department and 6 for the marketing department, along with this, there will be an 1 project
manager that will be head of the site construction, with the 2 site engineers and a architect that
help in top design the building which is will suitable as per the clients requirements and which
will be cost effective for me. With this process, I am able to enhance my skill and knowledge
about the criteria that is important to recruit the right person at the right place. It is essential to
examine this criteria as for the successfully accomplishment of the goals and objectives within
specified period of time. Human resources pays the vital role in the success of the project, so it is
important for me hire the right candidates at the right place. Which provide support me in the
approaches that can be used for the less time consuming which can be also cost effective. In
addition to this, in this construction project the most important workforce is labour that actual
implement the plan and strategic into the practices. (Ansah, and Sorooshian, 2018).

infrastructure about 10 buildings. It takes 50 labours for construct the building, here division
labour as well as division of work plays very important role because contractor gives the work
according to its labour capability in which they are satisfy and project can run in ethical manner.
In this I take 5 labour in each building, In which they responsible for their work. Other remaining

labour I will segregate according to requirement. First group of labour is responsible for base of
building. Second group of labour is responsible for height, length, width of the building. Third
group of labour is responsible for infrastructure. Fourth group of member is responsible for
operate the machines, trucks to mix up the concrete, cement and other materials and in last
remaining group of people responsible for cover the patches and provide the things at the time of
construction. Before starting the work I will take briefing of all labours, and allocate the work.
And they will coordinate to each other. Let discuss about construction plant, the term plant in
this reports it occurs the machinery, equipment which is used in construction activity. It also
include the heavy machinery and equipment at the time of construction work. Construction plant
mostly re useable so, I will looking forward for second hand or hired. I will take construction
equipment which refers the bulldozers, heavy trucks, heavy hydraulic machines for executing the
construction task. I will take materials also which is cement, clay, rocks, sand and wood and
some more. But in this project health and safety plays very important role for all the crew
members. Health and safety is vitally important in the deployment and production plant on site,
particularly in addition to cranes, mobile plants and vehicle. There are lot of terms and
condition , rules and regulation which must be match and wide range of guidance accessible
from the health and safety authority. I will choose those labour who is fully trained and they
know how to operate the machines, hydraulics and more further. I will provide gloves and boots
which keep protected from the cement and any other chemical substance. I will allow those
workers who is eligible for work. Manage and extenuate risk with a safety training program. All
the workers must be trained and instructed to point out for huge risk areas or departments for
efficient emergency administration. Make sure about electrical safety construction site, ensure
about safety and security protocols, construction site accession should be limited to sure safety
and security as well as protection of heavy tools and equipments. To make sure all the electrical
lines are grounded. Those worker working in electrical department they must have to carry
gloves and should wear it with proper guidelines which is mentioned on safety and security
policies(Sohi, Bosch-Rekveldt, and Hertogh, 2019).

development. Team work should be good and also make coordination to each other which build

Tier 1: I faced many challenges at the time of construct the building, because it is not
possible for me to collect high manpower and make the briefing of them after that proper
allocation of work, division of work according to their qualities which is mandatory for me. I
made the deal with suppliers to purchase the raw materials in wholesale price to construct the
building. I handled the unskilled workers, which is very huge problem for me to facing the
construction industry, which is not sufficient for skilled workers to full fill a growing demand as
well as lack of communication, unreliable contractors, scheduling the work, high insurance cost,
changing minds of home owners, how I influence them, how I convince them, availability of
fund, document administration. Whole this process handling this is not easy but practices makes
men perfect. Major challenges of construction industry, sustainability and efficiency, skilled
labour shortages, rising cost of materials is rising. Be it tariff, trade conflict, inflation or
enhancing global demand, as well as cost of construction material (Kucher, Heldak, and
Orlenko, 2018).
Tier 2: How I clear this construction industry problem, first of all get clear on issues and
challenges that created a difficulties., get clear on every interest, make list all possible solutions
and try to come up with the solution. Analyse and evaluate the possible solution, select easy or

implementation. Build the contingency plan. To construct the building I have to focus on my
mission and vision and provide the resources with the available resources. Which very necessary
to keep on mind. It gives the benefit for long term process we know how to manage the things
and how lead the directions(Stanitsas, Kirytopoulos, and Leopoulos, , 2020).
CONCLUSION
From the above report it has been concluded that project management is the process of
managing the work along with the teams that are working on the particular project, that includes
the measuring of the time, scope and budget along with the proper allocation of the resources and
all the necessary inputs and apply them into the practices. Moreover tit includes the construction
of the residential building, has been schedule by the Gantt chart that involves the development of
the project and all the associated external work. Here has been demonstrated the duration along
with the major three elements of the production of the building. Allocation of labour, plant and
material I the programme has been also analysed along with the health and safety legislation. In
addition to this there is an structure of the project management team that will work for the
accomplishment of the project objectives in the given specified time.
