1. Project background
1.1 Project background
The paper mainly focuses on the Australian Tree Corp which is one of the large
owners of the various forestry estates within Western Australia as they generally grow as well
as sell trees. The company generally engages in planting, outsourcing, maintaining different
type of elements including logistics as well as manufacturing different types of products. The
organization was determined to be profitable from the initial days and therefore the higher
authority of the organization wants to adopt proper practices for achieving more profits.
However, it is identified that ATC is struggling to cope with the natural disasters that
occurred and it affected the entire business operations of the organization. The organization
needs drastic cane within the management strategy as well as proper development of R&D in
order to discuss the different types of environmental challenge’s that generally arise. By
making proper environmental changes the organization will be able to learn about the
vulnerability of the tree in context to the natural disasters for making proper plan for the
project and for managing the forest.
1.2 Project goal
The ATC mainly aims to create proper plan so that with the help of which the
environmental challenges in context to natural disasters can be known successfully. The goals
of the project by utilizing the SMART criteria are illustrated below:
Specific: The ATC aims to develop a plan for determining the environmental
challenges so that appropriate step for the resolving the issues as well as prompting
the team to determine the root cause of the problems in order to lean about the
vulnerabilities of trees..

Measurable: The determination of the environmental issues not only determines the
root causes of the problems but also helps inn improving the business conditions as
well as operations of the organizations.
Attainable: Proper involvement of the project team for successfully determining the
root cause of the environmental changes as well as about the vulnerability of threes
can generally make the entire project attainable.
Relevant: The goal of the entire project mainly focus on achieving profit for the
business for making the operations of the business smooth and thus the project is
linked with the business objectives that further makes the project relevant.
