INTRODUCTION Reflection writing is an activity which is used to describe real and imaginary events in effective manner to analyse and evaluate past experiences. This helps in evaluating and realising all the positive and negative developments that are associated with the event. This provides plans for future development and helps in identifying the proposed growth opportunities in future. In order to ensure personal and professional development employability and study skills must be available in an individual (Gilbert, 2016). Continuous improvement is required in present skills to improve quality. In this project report personal reflection is provided for range of skills using Gibbs Reflection Model on past experiences of an individual. GIBBS' REFLECTIVE MODEL Description Gibbs reflective model was developed by the Graham Gibbs in the year 1988 to provide thestructureoflearningandexperiences.Usingthisreflectionmodelevaluationofthe experiences whether good or bad is performed. Analysis of situations and experiences are made so that some results can be created and identified. Using this model all the experiences in the process of learning of several skills are demonstrated in detailed manner. This model provides several theories and concepts that provides total new experiences. In order to perform the task one requirements of various skills were their. Skills like communication in verbal and oral manner, research skills, Information technological skills, team work skills, time management and problem solving skills. These skills plays important role in the process of performing the task in well defined manner (Hussein, 2018). Availability of these skills are not sufficient as intelligence in application of these skills are required to generate effectiveness in the project. While performing the activity several students were included for performing different activities in order to complete the task and this provides me a new experience. Working on this project provides me a new experience and helped me in enhancing my skills in personal and professional manner. A continuous improvement is experienced while performing the project while performing number of activities in an active and effective manner. Feelings All the experiences and feelings that an individual enjoyed throughout the process of completing the project is mentioned in this section of the project. At the initial stage when the 1
module was started I feel like it is going to be tough for me and I get really nervous. All the study material and concepts of the module was new and the method in which work needs to be performed in the module is also different. Requirements of various skills was their while completingthemodulesuchasproblemsolvingskillsandcommunication,information technology skills. All these skills was new and I have not experienced nay method to use such skills and perform any task. When the module was started then my experience and confidence started boosting with better skills for learning and understanding all the mentioned concepts of the module. Different experiences and supporting are used by me while accomplishing the project (Key, Marshall and Martin, 2019). After completing of the module I feel quite confident about my skills and experiences and self-evaluation helps to understand the whole experience in effective manner. I enjoyed this module as my learning for skills and several theories get improved throughout this module. Evaluation At this stage of Gibbs reflective model evaluation of the experience will be made whether it is a good experience or a bad one. While learning the present module their has been several situations which leads to generate contribution towards generation of positive experiences. Ration of negative experiences was low when compared with positive experience. Their were numberoffactorsthatmadecontributionofpositiveexperiencesmorecertain.As accomplishment of module required research activities to be performed in order to understand several theories and concepts present in the module. My research skills was not appropriate at the initial stage but when I was provided with the detailed information regarding how information is accessed and acquired. This helps in improving my skills for research. After that all the information required to be collected to complete my module was collected by me in effective manner. All the relevant matters which are suitable for the requirements and provides desirable results are made available. Working in a team provides me with a positive experience of improving productivity in effective manner (Nelson,Swaminathan and Brigden, 2016). In the process of completion of the module their was several situations when number of activities are assigned to us in a team. This helps us in completion of the project in effective manner by analysing each activity in effective manner through different point of view of team members. This helps in enhancing my skills to see each situation form different point of view and understand it in complete manner to generate best results. Together with this I learned how 2

assignment of activities in a team needs to be performed and proper communication must be established. While working in team my oral and written communication skills improved to certain level. As communication among each team member is made and that was oral and written. Improvement in these skills helps me to boost my positive behaviour and develop my mindset to take new challenges and experience improvement in my personality. My verbal communication skills allow me to communicate true and fair information at right time so that chances for any form of conflicts are reduced to a extent. In teams roles are assigned to each member and a timeline is provided to complete their activity and this made me complete my task in the provided time. While completing this module a good amount of improvement is recorded in my communication skills but some amount of loopholes are still present in my writing skills (Snowdon, 2018). This lack me behind as reports in the module prepared by me is lacking in its structure, language and errors. Together with this information provided by me in the report was poor and certain important information was missing form the project. In this project a Power Point Presentation required to be made and my poor IT skills made be ineffective in preparation of the PPT report. As no learning was available in the module for preparation of the PPT report andnoimprovementwasmadewhilepreparationoftheproject.MypoorInformation technological skills and self management skills made me realise that I am still lacking to be effective and requires good amount of improvement. Analysis At this stage analysis of the overall evaluation is made. While completing this module I have realised that study and communication skills are very important for an individual. Together with these skills number of skills that requires improvement needs to be made to enhance scope of improvement in academic and professional career. This module helps me to analysing all my strengths and areas where I needs to focus for more improvement. Analysing all the skills and their availability helps in becoming effective in present and developing all the required skills for future to become sufficient. Conclusion Completion of the module provides with required information regarding skills that made an individual effective in personal and professional manner. Their are certain skills that requires improvement and proper training program can be initiated to improve required learnings. While 3
improving several feedbacks can be taken form tutors so that their preselective can be used for making required improvement in the skills and learning. Action Plan At the last stage of Gibbs reflective model an action plan form making required improvements in the learning skills is required to be made. In relation to make improvement in my communication skills, IT skills and self management skills certain training programs will be initiated to accomplish the report in accurate manner. Focus will be made on improving academic skills and writing skills in the required manner (Tesh and Kautz, 2017). Time management is the key in each activity and to perform each activity in time provided training and continuous practice will be made so that I can manage my work and time. There are number of problems involved in the project and in order to accomplish the project each problem will be analyses and provided with the appropriate solution for the same. All these activities and actions will contribute towards improving skills. CONCLUSION From the above project report it has been concluded that there are number of skills required to become successful in personal and professional manner. Among all employability skills and study skills are considered to be most effective. Gibbs reflective model when applied to the experience then it help[s in evaluation of skills that are available and skills that required to be developed for better performance. Past experiences are considered to be the basis to provides detailed information regarding the skills requirement for an individual. 4
