2PROJECT ON RENOVATING A KITCHEN SETUP 1. Project Description This project is based on the topic of ‘Kitchen Renovation’. This project is based on detailing the structure of work that would be done during the renovation phase of an existing kitchen. This project would be extremely be useful for the generation of a vast number of ideas that could be implemented during designing of the schedule of the project. Each of the tasks that would be performed within the project have to be dealt with perfection in order to complete the renovation project within the proper time. The project based on renovating an existing kitchen would require an intense form of designing and planning. During the initiation phase of the project, the project manager who would be entitled for the project would be responsible for designing a plan for conducting the entire set of activities within the later part of the project. A proper kind of source of investment would be required for conducting the entire list of activities. After the investor would secure the source of funding, the project manager would select the proper interior designers who would be responsible for renovating the entire kitchen. After conducting the research on selection of the proper interior designer, the procurement of materials needed to be installed in the new kitchen would be chosen and assembled together. In the next phase of the project, the interior designer would hire different contractors and thus start with the work of the project. They would clean the interiors of the kitchen and thus make a proper form of work setup for the project. The interiors of the kitchen would be properly cleaned and then a new coating of paint would be applied. The electric supply would be checked by a group of efficient electricians and then the previously bought appliances would be installed within the kitchen. After a proper installation of the cabinetry, refrigerator, dishwasher and

This step would be highly required for checking that the appliances are in proper working condition and would suit the needs of the homeowner. After a proper check of each of the appliances, the contractors would again be called for cleaning the entire trash that had been made within the kitchen during the work of renovation. This would take a few amount of time to complete the phase. After finishing off with the cleaning part of the kitchen, the project manager would hand over the newly renovated kitchen to the homeowner for their approval. During the period of approval, each of the documents that were made during the design phase of the project would be signed by the homeowner and thus the project would reach till its completion. The procedure of each of the payments would be made to the recipients based on their inputs within the project. The homeowner would also check whether the project has been completed within the limited time period and budget. Based on the entire success of the project, the project would be signed off and thus the entire renovated kitchen would be ready for use. The successful completion of the project is highly needed in order to receive a proper feedback from the stakeholders involved within the project. 2. Estimated Duration of Project The estimated duration of the project is 6 months. 3. Approximate Number of WBS Activities The approximate number of WBS activities is 50. 4. Statement of Work In the statement of work based on the ‘Kitchen Renovation’ project, the entire list of detail of work that would be done within the project would be included. The entire set of
