Project aims and objectives (e.g. what do you wish to achieve? What do you want to learn to do?
What do you want to find out?)
To identify the different ways in which Marks and Spencer can use talent management to
increase its overall performance.
To analyse the importance of talent management within an organization.
To determine benefits of talent management for an organization.
Section Two: Reasons for choosing this project
Reasons for choosing the project (e.g. links to other subjects you are studying, personal interest,
future plans, knowledge/skills you want to improve, why you feel the topic is important)
There are many reasons for choosing this project, the primary reason being that the project will
help me in enhancing my existing knowledge about the concept of talent management. Also, it is
linked with the other subjects that I’m studying and thus, help me in developing a better
understanding about how a research project Is conducted (Al Aina and Atan, 2020). Talent
management has been one of my areas of interest as it contributes to the overall efficiency as
well as performance of any organization. I want to improve on my communication as well as
presentation skills and thus, I think that this project will allow me to enhance my learning. Also,
there are not a lot of studies that have been conducted on this topic and therefore, this study will
contribute to the overall existing knowledge of the readers and also allow the researcher to gain
useful insights and obtain valuable insights about the same. I feel that talent management is an
important topic that should be taken into account in studies today and also, it should be

implemented in the company. I want to build a career in the area of talent management and
therefore, I think that this project will be very helpful for me in developing new skills such as
communication skills, presentation skills, teamwork as well as tome management skills.
Section Three: Precedents and sources
Use of key literature sources and precedents to support your project objectives
To make sure that the project is completed in an effective manner, the researcher has used only
authentic as well as reliable sources in order to collect information. There are different key
literature sources that the researcher can refer to in order to obtain useful insights about the
research topic. The different key literature sources that have been referred to in order to
complete this research project are research articles, online journals, books, websites etc. The
researcher has referred to different types of information sources because this will help in
collecting authentic information that can be used effectively for completing the project (DeVaro,
2020). Therefore, the researcher has tried to only include effective information and there has not
been any kind of compromise on the quality of the report. Besides this, all of the information that
has been gathered, is done by taking into account the research questions. Questionnaire was
the research method used for gathering the information from the respondents. This has ensured
that first-hand information is gathered for the report.
Talent management is an important component that can help a company in attaining its goals in
an effective manner. Similarly, motivation additionally guarantees that the personnel are
committed to and engaged to their jobs. Motivation inside an organization is crucial because it
permits the personnel to be extra efficient in addition to produce the meant consequences. The
respective company, Marks and Spencer makes certain that different motivation schemes are
performed in order that the personnel supply their first-rate efforts in completing the tasks which
might be assigned to them. Key literature assets to support the studies questions in addition to
objectives consist of number one as well as secondary assets. Primary resources consist of
interviews, questionnaire and so on. Even as secondary assets encompass books, journals,
research articles and on-line internet site (Tamunomiebi and Worgu, 2020). Therefore, these are
the distinctive key literature assets that the researcher has used in order to finish the project in
an effective way.
There are many benefits of talent management in an organization such as it helps the
employees in developing new skills as well as enhance their existing knowledge. There are
different ways in which talent management can contribute to the overall effectiveness of the

company such as it can lead to an increase in the motivation levels of the employees. This leads
to an increase in the level of job satisfaction as well as their commitment to the jobs. Talent
management allows employees experience engaged, skilled, and encouraged, letting them
paintings in the course of the company’s commercial enterprise dreams, which in flip, will
increase client delight and commercial enterprise performance. A systematic method to skills
management method that there's an organizational integration and a steady approach to control.
When structures are more integrated, client satisfaction charges are typically better, since
they're dealing with fewer human beings and their desires are met greater rapidly (Yaseen,
Shatnawi and Obeidat, 2018). The use of skills control will make it less complicated for the
companies to identify which employees may be great perfect for the job that can result in less
overall performance control troubles and grievances. It can even assure that the pinnacle skills
inside the organisation stays longer. As a result, the company is able to retain its employees for
a longer period of time and make sure that there is no impact on the profitability of the company.
The employees put in their best efforts to complete the tasks that are assigned to them in an
