The research aims to find out the impact of changes in manufacturing growth on average
weekly earnings in Australia. There are two major hypothesis that would be going into this
research:
H0: manufacturing growth does not impact average weekly earnings in Australia.
H1: manufacturing growth does impact average weekly earnings in Australia.
The factors to be tested in this regard include the following:
Technological development.
Government policies.
Human resource quality
Finances.
All of these factors would be tested against the growth of manufacturing sector, and its
subsequent impact on the average weekly earnings in Australia.
1.3 Research Questions
Does growth in sales in the manufacturing sector affect workers’ average weekly
earnings?
What are the factors affecting workers’ average weekly earnings in the manufacturing
industry?
Is the growth of the sector and the correspondent average weekly earnings of the workers
sustainable?
