The Scheduled Performance Matrix is calculated with the help of the formula SPI =
EV/PV. Scheduled Performance Index is calculated by dividing Earned Value and
Planned Value.
The Cost Performance Index is calculated with the help of the formula
CPI=EV/AC. Cost Performance Index is calculated with the help of dividing Earned
Value and Actual Cost
4 ESTIMATE AT COMPLETION (EAC)
The Estimate at Completion is the expected total cost of completion of the
project as per the work that is expressed according to the sum of the actual cost
that can be calculated for completion of the project. EAC is calculated with the
help of dividing Budget at completion and Cost Performance Index.
The main formula that is used for calculating the Estimate at Completion is
EAC = BAC / CPI. There are few criteria’s that are to be considered for calculating
the Estimate of Completion. It can be considered that if CPI is 1, then it is obvious
that EAC will be equal to BAC. This ensures that the project will get completed
under the budget that have been decided. Hence it can be considered that there
will be equality in deciding budget and hence wise starting of the project will be
immersed. In this case EAC will be equal to BAC.
As per the provided data the Cost Performance Index have been calculated
to be 62.42%. Hence it can be stated that the CPI is 0.62. The budget at
completion is decided to be $55,960.00. Again as per the data that have been
received and using the formula of EAC=BAC / CPI, it can be seen that EAC=
$55,960.00/0.62. Hence after calculation it is seen that EAC is $90,258.06.
