Introduction
The project includes the construction of the Shop Fit-Out Sport outlet retail. It comprises of the
shop area along with a small garden wherein the outdoor equipment will be showcased. The report
covers the planning details and activities of the project and also includes the illustration of the
project work breakdown structure along with schedule information using the Gantt chart and
network diagram. The use of MS Project is done as a tool to prepare the schedule details. The
information on the project cost is also covered with the aid of excel spreadsheet. The expected
start date of the project is 1st July 2019 and it is expected to end on 19th September 2019
Assumptions
Some of the assumptions that have been considered for the project are:
 The project proposal will be passed by the senior officials and authorities.
 The resources will have the respective charges for the project and the resource costs will
be determined accordingly.
 The customers and supplier will be paid for the respective payments. The suppliers will be
paid for the tools and services that they will supply and it will be done during the project
execution. The customers will be paid only at the time of the completion of the project.
Project Integration Management
Project Integration management is one of the core areas under project management and it
comprises a set of guidelines and methods to integrate the different project areas. The different
project elements and areas are synced together so that the integrated project goals and aims may
be achieved.
Project Scope Management
The scope of the project comprises of the set of activities and tasks that will be executed by the
members of the project team. It also comprises of the activities that the team will not cover. The
guidelines to manage the same are termed as project scope management.

It is necessary to determine and finalize the monetary resources available for the project before the
costs for the project are estimated. The prediction of the project costs is carried out as per the
project scenarios and for specific point of time. The estimation can also be done to determine and
consider the cost alternatives for project start-up and end. Project planning is one of the key
aspects associated with cost estimations. It is because the control activities in the project can be
accordingly carried out. If there is no mechanisms to monitor or track the project in terms of its
costs, then it will be impossible to determine the performance and success of the project. There
are different types of techniques that may be used for estimating the costs.
Analogous estimation
It is the techniques that make use of the cost estimates of the similar projects executed in the past
as the baseline for the project. The estimation may be done for the entire project or for the specific
project areas only.
There are also a few assumptions that are considered in the process of cost estimations.
Therefore, it may be possible that there are some of the uncertainties involved in the final costs
that are determined. These may depend upon the skill sets of the employees. The reliability of the
technique can be ensured only when there is high degree of similarity between the project and the
one that is referred. In this case, the ROM estimated is in the range of -25% to +75%.

numerous factors, such as technical, economic, operational, and several others. There are specific
processes that can be carried out for the purpose of risk management.
Risk register is one of the documents that keep information of the project risks from the beginning
till the end of the project. The main aim of the risk register is to ensure that a proactive approach is
followed to treat these risks so that the project success rate may be increased. It is necessary that
risk management, especially the identification and analysis phases are introduced in the early
stages of the project. The project schedule and costs will be maintained as per the project
schedule.
It is significant that the risks with higher severity levels are treated before the others. The impacts

Project achievement evaluations
The project has been completed within the assigned time and budget. This was possible
because of monitoring tools used in the project i.e. Gantt chart. Other monitoring techniques
used were the timely weekly meetings to ensure that tasks with assigned deadlines and cost
are performed within them. Another achievement was that all the likely risks were mitigated
on time without much hinderance to the progress, cost and time of the project. This was
possible because of the mitigation techniques used in the project as mentioned in the risk
register. Even 10% of total budget was allotted to be used during contingency times.
Lessons learnt (dos and don'ts):
During the entire course of project, I learn two key lessons. First lesson came from
procurement plan and other lesson came from communication plan. In the procurement plan,
I observed that there are different types of contracts and deciding upon which contract to
choose is a difficult task. It has to be cater various key things such as type of project, what to
procure, how to procure and when to procure. In the communication plan, I learnt the
importance of types of documents to be shared among the team members. If the type of
document is confusing or not approved by every team member then it may end up creating
communication gap in the team. Besides them, I also learnt that depending on the project
development approach, scope should not be changed as it may increase the cost and
timeline of the project.
Recommendations
Construction of proposed project does cater every aspect of project development lifecycle
starting from project initiation and to closure. It is the responsibility of project manager to
