The Causes of Prostitution
Poverty compels numerous youths to go into prostitution so as to bring home food. The
primary motivation why ladies or men go into this habit is to make profit. The rate of destitution
get expanding faster and this make people who have education to resort and look for ways to

make ends meet. Women and men presently in school and have no support resort to prostitution
as a way of getting finances so that they pay for their education in college (Raphael, 2015).
Moreover, the vices such as child labor, trafficking, and brutality are the reasons why a number
of children find themselves in prostitution. When a child is assaulted at a younger age will grow
up with no self-esteem in life and therefore see nothing good about sex because this has been
spoiled completely. Some youth get coerced and constrained into sexual servitude, pornography,
and prostitution. This perception will later as an adult resort to getting into prostitution ( Bagchi
and Sinha, 2016).

In the society, lack of parental care forces children to seek prostitution. In the family, parents’
guide and control their child all through their young age. When there is not care for parents,
children tend to end up wayward and have a tendency to be attracted into different social vices.
The women are free going to parties where they get exposed to prostitution by those already in
prostitution (Hirschi, 2017).
