1. Classic symptoms of Anxiety disorder are – feeling nervous, restless or tense, having sense of
panic or danger, difficulty in breathing, having trouble sleeping, having heart rate to be
increased, feeling weak or tired, trouble in concentrating on things etc (Heeren & et.al., (2018).
These are the major symptoms which a person having problems with anxiety is facing and this
creates trouble in knowing that it becomes threat if not treated properly. These symptoms also
create worry about how the patient is to be treated and taken care of. These symptoms also
realises that anxiety disorder is a serious problems to be cured.
2. The symptoms which were displayed by Julie Thomas were that she was facing the problem
while breathing as she was unable to breathe properly, she was also having chest pains which on
time resulted in heart attack, she also became anxious while talking with other people and was
unable to communicate with other people, she was also facing problem of being agoraphobic that
is she had fear of visiting new places or situations which might cause her anxiety (Psychiatric
Interviews for Teaching: Anxiety, 2012). These were the symptoms which Julie was facing and
therefore she came to GP to cure her problem of being into anxiety.
3. Possible causes of anxiety from the perspective of nature versus nurture are –
From the nature perspective – If the person from the family members is having problems with
anxiety, there are more likely chances that any of family members might have it as it is
genetically in relation to the problem which is occurring (Pary & et.al., (2019).
From the nurture perspective – Bullying or teasing by peers at the workplace can be the main
reason which is the cause of anxiety to person from the perspective of nurture. This is the main
reason which helps in knowing that there are social causes which helps in knowing that the
person is suffering from anxiety.
4. Julie’s GP Dr. Vehdi explained the causes and made her realise that she is suffering from
anxiety which made her realise to get or start the treatment in appropriate manner (Balsamo &
et.al., (2018). Julie was facing anxiety problems due to stress at her work which resulted in
making her a person dealing with anxiety problems and being an agoraphobic.

5. The therapist Dr. Vehdi believed that due to taking stress of work and personal problems Julie
is having anxiety problems which made the therapist believe that she needs appropriate treatment
in solving the issues and problem Julie is facing (Rodebaugh & et.al., (2018). This is how the
therapist is ensuring of treating the anxiety problem which Julie is facing. This will help her in
initiating the treatment in a proper manner.
6. The treatment strategy for client who is Julie Thomas is taking proper treatment with the help
of tablets and proper medication at large scale. With the help of proper medication, Julie will be
able to cure her anxiety disorder which she is facing (Strawn & et.al., (2018). This is major
treatment which Julie should be taking and with help of this she will be cured. Also by taking
regular sessions with her GP or therapist she will be able to come of situation of not being into
anxiety. This will help in creating value as to how effectively she will be able to treat her anxiety
issues and problems which she is facing in her daily life.
PART C
1. The topic content which is applied here is anxiety disorder and the patient here is Julie
Thomas. She is consulting one of the therapists who is Dr. Vehdi. Julie is facing personal and
work life problems and issues which have caused her anxiety disorder. This is the major concern
for her and she is therefore seeking testament to be cured from the anxiety which she is facing
(Marinho & et.al., (2019).
Julie is having problems in breathing, she becomes anxious while communicating with
people and is agoraphobic to new places, along with this she is also having chest pain which
made her take her ECG from Dr. Jones. This helped in resulting that she was not having any
heart issues but when Julie consulted Dr. Vehdi, a GP she came to knew that she was facing
anxiety issues.
2. Anxiety issues and problems should be taken seriously so that the work and personal life is not
affected (Laidlaw, (2021). If the person is having any anxiety issues treatment must be the first
concern which should be taken by consulting therapist. With the help of treatment, it becomes
very necessary that the person is able to ensure what are measures and consequences of how the

treatment is to be taken so that positive effects are seen and observed at large scale and in
effective and appropriate manner. Positive results such as feeling happy and be able to work in
daily routine tasks and activities in comfortable manner which helps in creating value for life.
