9am to 10 am This will be the ice breaker
part where all the people will
be able to come close to one
another and learn about the
purpose of the workshop. The
workshop will mainly be
created for the purpose of
teaching the working
professionals the different
ways in which they can
understand and also develop
the qualities of an ideal leader
within themselves.
Each participant will be asked
to come to the center of the
room and give a short
introduction about themselves
and also their social cultural
backgrounds. This will be
helping in understanding
about the different

12pm to 1pm The lunch break will be given
so that all the team members
are able to get a proper
refreshment and then also
realize the effectiveness of a
group.
Group lunch will serve not
only as a means of
refreshment but also as a
symbol of group unity where
people coming from different
backgrounds are able to share
their ideas, views, feedbacks
and thoughts.

1pm to 2.30 pm
2.30 to 4pm The tasks will be allotted to
each of the five teams. The
task will be based on
presenting the product launch
of a new product in front of
external panel of judges and
experts. This will require
preparing and also delivering a
group project in front of the
judges.
In order to deliver this group
work properly all the members
of the group will have to give
in a very united and joint
collaborative effort. This will
enable them to know the true
aspects of working in a group
and how they will be able to
make sure that they are able to
understand the importance of
an emotional leadership
As the participants belong
from different social, religious
and cultural background there
will naturally be several issues
created among them. This is
because there will naturally be
some or the other kinds of
differences in the patterns of
their thinking style. The leader
will have to keep a control
over his emotions and mindset
and make sure that it is being
able to stay focused on the
long term goals that are the
successful accomplishment of
the goals and the objective of
the team.
4pm to 5pm This will help in making the

presentations and then
presents their slides in front of
the judges. A strict note will
be kept about the performance
of the entire team (for all the
four teams) while they are
working on the making of the
presentations. It will help in
understanding the different
team conflicts or the issues
that have actually taken place
while the team members were
trying to work over the
making of the presentation

motivation to all the

closing The closing of workshop will
mark the understanding of the

The first step will help the participants from the different socioeconomic and religious
backgrounds to come together at a single spot. This is a very useful step as this helps in
understanding about the issues that might later arise in the course of carrying the group activities.
This will also help in understanding that an emotional leader is one who must be having some
strong social skills as well.
Group discussion
This will help the team leaders of each team to know about the different ways in which they will
be able to solve the team conflicts. As the other members of the team are from different social
and economic backgrounds they will surely be facing some of the issues in their thinking
patterns and their mindsets as well. Therefore an emotionally intelligent leader will be needed to
make sure that he is able to solve these conflicts and make sure that he is acting as the problem
solve and also the solid communicator. He is the one who will have to understand the issues and
then make sure that to initiate the process of communication.
Group presentations
This is the most essential part of the workshop as this has helped the different individuals in
understanding the confusions and also the different issues that are a part of any group based work
or activity. Therefore it must be made sure that no one is giving up on the situations and are
trying their level best finding out the solution by putting forward a joint collaborative effort. An
emotional leader is one who will not only be there to get the work done by accomplishing the
long term goals and objectives of the organization but also to make sure that he is there to
support the morale of his employees and also to increase the confidence. This will be able to
make the employees feel that they are valued and are being taken care of. It is the duty of the

leaders to know that they must be able to create a vision for their employees or they must be able
to create a path that their followers will be walking up and making sure that this will be for their
own benefit.
This must be noted that acting as a social communicator is also one of the most useful aspects
that must be taken into consideration. An emotion leader is one who has to work over his or her
communications skill. Communication is the best tool that must be used in order to understand
and also find out the solution of the different conflicts that can arise in the course of the different
group activities. An EI or emotional intelligent leader will always try his or her level best to
focus over the topic of motivation. He is one who will always be trying to focus over the
uplifting and the development of the skills and the talents of his employees by providing them all
the possible support. Thus he will always have to act as a proper example for all his employees
and make sure that he is able to help them at every point of time.
My learning from the Workshop session
Emotional Contagion is one of the most essential topics that I have been able to learn from the
assignment or the workshop. I have been able to learn that as a leader all the actions and the
qualities are getting transformed. In other words in future I will have to keep a very strong check
over the words or the actions that I exhibit. This is because of the fact that just likes much other
disease my actions and my speech will be getting transferred to the followers. It is for this reason
that I will have to make sure that I am able to transfer only the positive and the good influences
rather than transferring any kinds of bad or any kinds of negative influences.
Therefore I will try to work over my weaknesses and make sure that I am being able to make my
strengths even prominent for the sake of my followers. I will always undertake a group

discussion session so that I am able to understand about the different opinions and the feedbacks
that are present among my followers regarding me. I will try to take a note of all those points and
groom myself accordingly. Making or developing a two way and horizontal communication will
be much helpful in going a boost to the team and also in making the employees or the team
members know that I am always there to support them and also to help them in all the ways
possible.
During the group activities or the delivery of the presentations I have seen that I was getting
nervous under pressure, In future I will make sure that I am taking small breaks in between the
work sessions so that my mind is refreshed and I am able to understand things and also react in a
very calm and responsible manner.
