This study provides a systematic review of the literature on the theoretical foundations, dimension, antecedents, and outcomes of entrepreneurial self-efficacy (ESE), and work which treats ESE as a moderator. It highlights the need to consider alternative theoretical perspectives to improve understanding of how ESE impacts outcomes at different levels of evaluation. The study also emphasizes the importance of data analysis in business to understand issues facing an organization and to discover data in meaningful ways.
