Deming defines quality as a predictable degree of uniformity and dependability at low cost
and suited to the market.
a)A quality product is such which meets customer expectation and specified needs.
Chris had to attend to the world prestigious club rotary and he wanted to buy for
himself a fitting and glazing attire as stipulated by his club dress code. To satisfy

himself he went to different shopping mall. Due to time constraint, he had to settle
with tight shoes and off-coloured jacket. Therefore, it can be be concluded that he did
not get quality products as expected by his him and has to make purchase against his
choice which did not meet his satisfaction.
b)No, Quality goods and services not provided by shop Although the products provided
were affordable and there was no quality defect as such but it failed on the ground of
availability. What Chris B got, did not matched up as it was too bright and too
dazzling. There were no other options which at least could satisfy Chris B. According
to Total Quality Management, the shop does not improve their ability to provide on-
demand. One can conclude that quality service was not provided. Where finally shop
keeper felt sorry for not meet out the expectation of Mr Chris B

QUALITY OF PLANNING
In the planning stage, it is critical for organisation to define who their customers are and find
out their needs (the “voice of the customer”). After knowing the customer’s needs,
organisation is able to define the requirements for product, process, service, system, etc., and
develop or develop it.
Steps of the planning process
a)Definition of the project.
b)Identification of the customers – those who will be impacted by the actions that are
taken to complete the project.
c)Discovery of customer needs.
d)Development of the product and processes to meet the customer’s needs.
e)Establishment of the quality objectives.
f)Development of the plans for meeting these objectives.
QUALITY CONTROL
According to Juran Triology Quality control involves the developing and maintaining of
operational methods in order to assure that the processes work as they are designed to work
and that the target levels of performance being are being achieved. Quality control does not
concern itself with improving a process, but rather with the execution of plans. It is primarily
to control that occasional spike in error in the process.
