INTRODUCTION Data collection is a practices which is mainly adopted by a person in order to gather informationregardingaparticulararea,eventorphenomenoninordertoreachovera conclusion. In context of a business, data collection is mainly performed to determine a problem that is present within business environment or to determine the feasibility of a particular idea (Rowley, 2014). The current report is based on a case of a private gym owner who is planning to spend some amount for renovating the gym in order to fulfil the requirement of customers as well as to earn more revenue. But before implementing this, it is required to gather information regarding what actually customers demand for by making use of questionnaire. MAIN BODY Suitability of questionnaire technique of data collection for this specific project Questionnaire is a research instrument which contains a series of questions that are being formulated in order to gather the information about a particular idea or situation from the respondents that are selected as a sample size. It is used as a method of data collection by the researcher when they are expecting to collect larger amount of information in less possible time period as per the information requirement for a particular study(Patten, 2016). By making use of questionnaire for collecting information the Gym owner would be able to collect the information that it require to support his investment decision for the renovation of Gym to fulfil the demand of consumer. There are number of advantage that questionnaire will help in collecting data regarding gym which can be better understood using following point, Information gathering in structured form :-This data collection tool is more efficient in term of collecting specific information about a particular area of study. It is so because, questionnaire involve some set of questions that are common for all the respondents, which make it easier for the researcher to gather specific set of answer so that a reliable response can be validate out of common responses. Less time consuming :-It involves a process where information can be gathered from larger number of people at a time by circulating the questionnaire among number of people. So for this, the gym trainer can provide the questionnaire to their customers while they get end up with exercise so that they can give their 5-10 mins to fill up the questionnaire(Holt, 2014). This will support in gathering information from larger number of people in less possible time period.
Cost efficient :-The questionnaire is consider to be most affordable way of gathering the quantitative data. This is so because the questionnaire process involve less number of resources as compare to interview or other method of data collection and time it take is also less as compare to other methods. Therefore, this method of data collection would remain more beneficial for gym to gather information regarding renovation in less budget. Effective analysis :-Questionnaire is consider as the data collection technique which support an investigator to gather any type of information, which further support in interpreting the information effectively. These numerical information can be easily mould in the form of graph which help in representing the responses effectively(Albuquerque and et. al., 2014). The gym over which study is conducted is a small scale business with a high growth prospects. Therefore, the techniques of data collection will support company in appropriately visualising the gathered data and make informed decision. Suggest what data they need to collect As per the given case study, a gym is renovating as per the demand of customers for providing them maximum satisfaction. But before renovating the gym it is crucial fro the owner to determine the perspective of customers toward it and changes that they actually want in gym so that changes can be done as according to the customers. Therefore, the information will be gathered from its existing as well as potential clients so that more satisfaction can be achieved along with an expectation to get a hike within the revenue. The kind of data that gym is required to gather are, First of all, it is required to gather the information regarding what kind of important they are expecting within the gym that can enhance their experience while availing the services(Artino Jr and et. al., 2014). Along with this it must also focuses toward gathering the information regarding type of issues that customers are facing while exercising so that it can be removed while renovating the gym. It must also involve gathering of information regarding the type of instruments or machines that the Gym is required to involve within the hall after renovation. Along with this it also involve what other kind of facilities that must be offered to the existing as well as potential customers. Additionally, some recommendations must also be gathered from the respondents that are potential or existing member of the gym regarding the changes that they want to suggests

CONCLUSION As per the above analysed information it can be summarised that questionnaire is consider to be a best practice for gathering information regarding particular area in more systematic and specified manner which make it easier to conclude the findings in less possible efforts. The questionnaire is consider as a tool of data collection which consumers less time and cost throughout the duration of its formation, information gathering, analysing and presenting findings.
