INTRODUCTION
The chosen topic for the essay is The Movement of #MeToo a movement which was
focusing upon the experience of sexual violence survivors and which received a powerful
motivation when the #MeeToo was popularized. The Me Too movement is an effort and a
contribution which was initiated through social media to bring social change ad was expressed as
#MeToo. The movement was originally founded in 2006 and became a prominent and a
significant factor online and in the mainstream during the late 2017. The essay will be covering
number of arguments to provided by different individuals through several mass media (O'Neil
and et. al., 2018).
MAIN BODY
The me too movement was founded by an American social Activist who initiated the use
of the phrase mean to on the social media platform in order to highlight the casual and regular
occurrence of sexual harassment taking place within a workplace and several different
surroundings particularly with women. According to the American activist and argument is
presented that need to movement works on empowerment through empathy by showing the
world about how common and easy for others to sexually harass others and by telling all the
survivors that they are not alone in the situation through which they are going unsupported
altogether (Pollack, 2019).
The me too movement was actually got popularised in the year 2017 actress Alyssa
Milano magnified the rallying cry with Tarana Bukre turning the movement into a popular
hashtags which is denoted #MeToo and it continuously went viral on social media platform
which are huge and have wide approach in the world like Twitter and Instagram. The actions
taken by Milano’s actually inspired others and the number of women in Hollywood open about
their own personal experiences involving sexual harassment at the hand of well-known producer
and film maker Harvey Weinstein (Understanding the Me Too Movement: A Sexual Harassment
Awareness Guide, 2021).
At present the me too movement have became a strong source of solidarity for all the
victims suffering from sexual harassment around the world. Along with it is also determined that
the tweets and the Instagram Post with the hashtag of #MeToo are still being posted on a daily
basis reminding how widespread sexual violence is in the world and is still going on making
