INTRODUCTION
Communication skills is the way from which in which a person can convey information to
others person , its a ability of receiving and giving various kinds of information includes ideas ,
updates , feelings. Speaking, listening, observing are some different ways of communication .
These skills can be used vocally , visually and in written also. A company name UoNL wants to
reduce its impact on climate change and they have three different ways of how they can reduce
pollution on environment which includes- Installing solar panels which on a overall way reduce
costs and good for healthy environment, by using e-bikes instead of other means of transport
which helps in improve health of people, are faster and safe and easier to ride and going to be a
paperless office , its an office of minimal use of paper instead use digitized documents which
saves time, provide security, saves cost on printing and many more benefits (Coffelt and Smith,
2020). The basic aim of this report is to project and analyse all the three scenrios with its
advantages and disadvantages and consider the best possible options which can reduce the
negative impact on the environment by the company.
MAIN BODY
Article 1- Solar Energy
Solar energy refers to the sun radiation that produces heat, bring out some chemical reactions
and generates some electricity (Lloyd and Noble, 2018). Its a renewable and a green source of
energy and can be used as a replacement of the old ways of generating electricity. Its not only
good for the environment but also helpful in reducing electricity bills.
Advantages
Brings down air pollution- Solar energy is a clean source of energy it does not
produce any harmful gases and greenhouse gas emissions which is toxic for the
environment .
Diminishes uses of water- There is a scarcity of water everywhere and traditional
methods of generating electricity gulping thousand litres of water. On the other hand
solar energy required no water in generating electricity and only rain water is needed
that too for cleaning solar panels.
Low maintenance costs- Solar energy does not required any maintenance costs just
little ongoing costs are required for cleaning them time to time.

Article 1- Solar Energy Article 1- Solar Energy
Diminishing reliance on fossil fuels- Based on current situation Fossil fuels are
churning out fast and solar panels uses sunlight that is free of cost and capable of
providing sunlight to the whole world, so it can also reduces the dependence on fossil
fuels (Shahsavari and Akbari, 2018).
Disadvantages
Dependence on Weather- Being dependent on sunlight, the efficiency of solar energy
drops during cloudy daysArticle 1- Solar Energy .
Heavy Installation cost- The purchasing cost of solar systems are quite high needs
battery, inverter, panels, wiring and may more such things. Needs lots of space- Solar panels needs sunlight as much as possible and that require
lots of space.
Article 2- Using E-Bikes
Electric bikes are the bikes that operates by electricity and assist the movement of pedals. It
does not need any types of fuels for its operations.
Advantages
Eco-Friendly - E-bikes does not generate any kinds of harmful emissions, they are
environment friendly and does not run on gas and diesel which releases carbon dioxide
in the atmosphere.
Keeps Healthy and active- Riding a bike is very beneficial for a persons health
because while running pedals you are exercising and it includes your whole body
movements which as a result keeps you disease free.
Maintenance - An electric bike rarely needs any kind of maintenance it only requires a
cleaning on regular intervals. These bikes are usually easy than than a normal bicycles.
Versatility and more mobility - E-bikes are very much versatile if its battery runs out
a person can just cycle normally and it also overcome with dirt, snow and traffic and
commute quickly.
Disadvantages
Cost- Electric bikes are generally more expensive in comparison to normal non-electric
bikes, its manufacture cost is higher . In cost of one electric bikes a person can buy two-
three regular bikes.

Difficult to handle - Electric bikes are higher in weights , it has approximately 5 to 10
kg more weights than non- electric bikes and that made it harder to transport
(Dickinson, 2018)
Distance - Electric bikes are not suitable for long distance travelling . If its battery runs
out a person can not charge it anywhere. Thus required a proper charging stations for
them. Power - Earlier E-bikes are driven on very low speed but eventually faster E-bikes are
launched but still they are less in speed in comparison to fuel powered bikes . That's
how low driving speed is highly disadvantages.
Article 3- Building a paperless office
It refers to a office or workplace minimizing the amount of paper use in the office as much as
possible and swapping it with printing and digitized documents.
Advantages
More Efficient- Going to be a paperless in office is much easier to organised and are
more efficient . The mobility becomes easier and safer in digital files.
Environment friendly - Using less paper in office ,reduced the use of duplicate copies
for record keeping. It reduces the use of inks .chemical solutions and paper which as a
result are more cooperative to environment (Opoku and Boachie, 2020)
Speed of information - Accessibility becomes are convinent when data stored
digitally versus on paper, with just a few mouse clicks anybody can have the access of
data.
Cost effective- Keeping things saved on a digital format rather on a paper is cheaper.
This eliminates cost of shredding of sensitive content.
Disadvantages
Security concerns - Security measures are needed because digital records are more
vulnerable. And disposing these records are difficult as it can be shared on network
environment.
Dependence on technology- Building a paperless office increases the dependency on
technology. Internet connection, power supply, online systems are must needed to
access the information (Meshram Mishra and Sahu, 2020). ..

CONCLUSION
From the above report it is concluded that there are various ways a company can impact on
environment negatively, as a result they should compensate of that loss by applying and adding
something environment friendly in their company. There are three ways in which a company can
contribute to reduce the impact on environment which includes using solar power for generating
electricity instead of using water and fuels, its is highly profitable in less cost. It just needs a cost
of installation and space and on that place it gives more benefits to the environment. Second is
using Electronic bikes, which is also favourable as it does not use any kind of fuels and gases
and needs low maintenance but it also has some sort of drawbacks , some of those are its
purchasing cost and the travelling distance e-bikes are covering, E-bikes are not suitable for long
distance travelling. Third is going complete paperless in office, it is helpful in many aspects as is
cost effective, efficient, good for environment, good in speed but with that there some downside
of it as it made a company completely depend on technology and on some side it is less securable
and the implementation of it is also a bit difficult.
RECOMMENDATION
Over going through on an overall analysis it is recommended that the company UoNL
should choose to apply the solar panels as in comparison to others it has more positive impacts
and less disadvantage. Some of its dominance points are:-
Solar energy is a unlimited green source of energy doesn't consume any fuel or water or
wind . Being aware of the fact that there is scarcity of resources in the whole world and
we all have to make an effort to save them within our capabilities, and on that list water
is our top priority , so by implementing solar panels is highly beneficial as it saves many
resources.
Solar energy does not need any supply form the outside world, so practically its
production and maintenance cost is nil. Its a one time investment as it just needs a cost
on the time of installation after that no additional cost and investment required and that
initial cost will get recovered easily with many perks of it.
Solar power can be installed anywhere with much ease and simplicity there is no
specific rules and regulations and aspects of it . It just needs a space for its installation
that's all.

Solar power are so environment friendly that it does not create any kind of pollution
whether it is noise pollution, water pollution or air pollution. The overall lifetime of
solar panels are longer than any energy production systems.
Lastly it creates employments , the high demand of solar power systems and the
widespread use of it promoting more and more job creations which on aver all basis
impacting positively on the economy of that area.
