Reflective Writing
I worked on the module “Engineering Management for a sustainable future”; and I learnt
implications of design thinking and critical thinking while solving real-time problems related
to the environment effectively. Hence I will reflect my experiences here which have provided
learning for the development of my future career in all way (Australis College, 2018). There
were 2 critical events happened during workshop module-I, over which I would be evaluating
and reflecting my learning with the help of my critical thinking solicitation (Australis
College, 2018).
In workshop-I, I learnt many things about electricity industry as I was required to find the
role of engineering in future sustainability through measuring and visualizing eco-system
services (Birol, 2018). For the above task during activity 2.2, I researched and analysed upon
electricity supply chain management structured and its operation for achieving sustainability
as well. Hence, I found that the critical challenges for electrical power system while obtaining
sustainable future majorly comprised 3 aspects such as environmental, economic and social
determinants. Additionally, during activity 2.2 when I was searching for the above challenges
then I researched over the topics listed below:
 Interconnection between engineering and sustainability (Dash, 2013).
 The completion of economic progress
 What we are doing wrong in our present businesses and lifestyles
 Environmental ethics for engineering and engineers (Cui & Fang, 2011).
I did this research by personal visiting as well as surveys, along with online sources like
academic journals, e-books and YouTube. In this way, primary and secondary researches
