REFLECTION ON SUMMER CAMPING

The summer camping is probably the best possible way of inducing natural growth
among the youths. I believe that all the educational institutions must take the initiative of
conducting the summer camps with the purpose of encouraging and nurturing team work and
resilience among the children. Personally, from my experience of a summer camp, I can tell that
the summer camps helps the kids in nurturing their friendship among the people while building a
close association with nature. I have been one of the introverts in my school until I packed my
bags for the camp. After my return from the camp even my parents could not believe of the
positive change that the camp brought about in me.
Moreover, my parents also opinionated that the camp specifically taught me to work
independently which is obviously a relatively great arrangement that the camp made for me.
Children going to the summer camps specifically interacts with peers from the different sections
and divisions which encourages them to overcome their coy and shyness. On the other hand, the
summer camps support children in learning tactical skills, improving their motor skills and
cognition. The most important part, according to me, in the concept of the summer camps is the
space that it offers to the children away from their cyclical and mechanical life of long hours
study and exams. The summer camps provide the children with a purpose and helps the same in
identifying their hidden capabilities while exploring in accordance with the scheduled activities.
Our summer camp instructor, however, had a negative feeling about my performance and
participation in the different activities that they arranged for us. However, from the performance
of my peers I can tell that the summer camp greatly contributed to their personality development
while providing them with an insight towards their own purposefulness. Summer camps take the
initiative of inducing healthy living among the youth participants and making the same adaptable
to different situations. I myself have taken the initiative of participating in every summer camps
