Introduction
The report is based on writing an annotated bibliography on a recent topic. This
annotated bibliography is going to narrate how we can make our educational environments,
living spaces that engage, educate and respect all participants. In the context of ECTPP302A
Reflective and Professional Practice, this discussion will provide insights related to
sustainable environments. In this way, with the help of this annotated bibliography
educational environments and positive learning will be discussed. The three core readings for
writing annotated bibliography are (Berris & Miller, 2011), (Davis, Eivers & Thorpe, 2012)
and (Connor, 2011).
Annotated Bibliography
The research study conducted by (Berris & Miller, 2011) is all about exploring the
importance, as well as the quality of the physical, environs of two early learning centers. This
research was conducted for understanding how design may leave impact on children’s
development as well as a quantitative rating. The authors have assessed the quality of the
surrounding environment as well as infrastructure. The research has found that an increased
awareness globally of the importance of early phase learning. This study has also found an
impact on the children as well as the broader implications of early learning over the economic
and social capacity of nations as well as communities.
In the context of the educational environment, the role of the surroundings, as well as
children’s learning capabilities, has been discussed in detail. When the authors conducted this
research then they found that early childhood learning depends on the willingness of the child
as well. Moreover, the research study has explored space fostering independence, exploration
along with overall development. Besides, the discussion has assessed the different impacts of
spatial quality include noise, space, light, materials, and color. In addition to that, an
integration of outdoors with the suggested indoor environment has been explored and
explained in-depth. In this context, both the indoor and outdoor surroundings matter a lot
