INTRODUCTION
Reflective commentary can be described as a piece of reflection that provides an insight
on the learning of an individual. It is a piece of document that provides an overview of a specific
situation and explains the personal learning and development of an individual (Hyseni Duraku,
and Hoxha, 2018). The present report will critically reflect the relationship between relevant
theory and the practice used in the work related context. It will also articulate and evaluate the
implications of the experiences, skill set, competencies and provide an overview of the
transferable and employability skills of an individual in relation the Bucks Graduate Attributes
Model. The Present report will also include a reflection and will implement the learning from the
work related experiences to future goals and career plans.
MAIN BODY
1. Critically reflecting relationship between relevant theory and practice in work related
experience and goals:
Every employee has either positive and negative experience in the workplace, due to
working condition employee might feel stressed. My work experience was wonderful as I
managed to perform my employment effectively, however, work experience does matter in
career development process (Adeani, Febriani and Syafryadin, 2020). I have used work related to
theory and practice whenever I need motivation and morale to work effectively, by using
reflective model, experience will be demonstrated, there are certain elements of reflection model,
these are:
Description: This is one of the most important element when reflecting upon experience which
is carried by employee or individual in the process, my experience was wonderful while
exploring employment in the workplace. I was posted as quality control analysts that means I
have to manage quality of inventory, this post was heavy for me which means I have to manage
quality with all measure. There were many cases where I have placed relevant theory where it
was needed the most for example when I fail to manage by task, I used Maslow motivation
theory as work related theory allowing me to understand all factors that motivated an employee.
Feelings: Feeling does matter when it comes to using reflective model, this is important element
which need to be considered by individual or employee. I was feeling nervous before starting my
employment as quality control analysts, but later with the help of motivation and other work
related theory, I somehow able to manage work related stress. I first my feeling was not well

because I was new to the situation and I have also examined some of those situations where
employment become an issue (Daniëls, Hondeghem and Dochy, 2019). My feeling helped me to
become stable and effective in the employment, feeling was controlled by me to manage my
work as quality control in the workplace.
Evaluation: Evaluation is another important element in the reflecting model, this allows
individual to evaluate what happened and how was the impact on the experience while
performing employment in the workplace. There were many situations where I have to use work
related theory and practice to maintain my employment to take certain steps to manage my work.
For example; when I was evaluating my work, I felt lack of leadership was issue, I managed to
put leadership style in my working to manage myself and my work. With the help of evaluation,
I managed to understand importance of leadership in workplace to manage task and self
effectively.
Conclusion: From the above points of reflecting experience in the workplace, I was managed to
learn each and every important thing required in the employment process. From the above
description of experience, I understood that work related and employment theory does matter in
the workplace because whenever, I used to get demotivated, I used motivation theories which
helped me to manage myself. However, work related practice and ethics does matter when it
comes to employment process, in the end I gained enough knowledge and experience to improve
my career and develop an skill to become in future employment process.
Action: This is another important element which need to be covered in the reflection process
where action planning will be done. I have to plan those activities which will going to help me to
boost my skills and allow me to become effective in the next employment process, I will prepare
an action plan allowing me to cover every weak point which need to be improved (Dwyer, 2019).
However, this action plan consist of those skills which I need to develop, I have to add those
skills as well which is needed in the employment and personal management process.
2. Articulating and evaluating the implications of experience, skills and knowledge with the help
of Bucks Graduate Attributes:
Bucks Graduate Attributes is one of the most important thing for every student or learner
which allow them to become stable in the career development process. With the help of Bucks
Graduate Attributes, I use to focus on some of the most important element and attributes to
develop an professionalism in the process, there are certain elements, these are

Leadership and self development: This is important element in Bucks model where learner
need to have leadership and self development skills allowing them to manage themselves
(Esaulova and Semenova, 2016). I have focused on self development from the starting of my
employment which helped me to become stable, however, I need to focus on leadership skills to
manage me and subordinate under me, I have become effective with the help of self development
skills but later I will be focusing on leadership skills to improve my employment process and
become effective in work area.
Knowledge and its application: Knowledge does matter when learner, individual or employee
want to become effective in the employment process, this is important element. I used to gain
knowledge with experience and situation that arrive in front of me, I gained enough knowledge
to become effective in next employment process. Each learner has different set of knowledge, I
carry knowledge to become active during my employment, however, I still need to learn work
related practice to gain max. knowledge and become effective in the process. Knowledge and
skills become essential when it comes to continuous learning and development in workplace.
Creativity: Creativity of learner push them to become effective, this is important element which
employee need to consider when performing employment where they have focus on becoming
more creative. I was creative in my workplace because I used to explore different area of
development and I used to implement work related theory which helped me to become effective
and stable in the workplace (Markkanen and et.al., 2020). However, I still need to manage my
creativity skills to become effective. I will try to include those activities which helped me to
become creative, I will become effective with these skills in the employment.
3. Implementation of the work related experiences and the goals of learning for establishing the
future career plans
Since I was a call centre dispatcher in my early career, I have identified that I am
certainly good at some skills which includes effective communication, good knowledge and
understanding Microsoft office programs, know the importance of the team work and the
collaboration of the efforts. These skills have been found helpful in my career till date but I
think, in my opinion, having only a limited skillset will restrict me in the development and
growth of my career (Chang, 2019). Therefore, I have determined certain skills which I need to
develop within myself in order to grab important and valuable opportunities that will further help

me in my career development and enhancement. For the same, I need to develop certain skills
within myself which will help me in my personal development and growth.
The skills that I need to develop within myself includes decision making skills, emotional
intelligence, improve my existing knowledge with respect to the use of academic theories, learn
the ability to lead a team and also motivate the workforce within an organization. In order to
acquire any managerial position within a reputed organization, it is essential for an individual to
have certain skills within themselves.
Therefore, it is essential for me to take necessary steps in order develop decision making
skills within myself. For the purpose of developing decision making skills within myself, It is
relevant that I have good knowledge about the organization in which I am working, the
organizational behaviour, the behaviour of the workforce and other such important aspects. This
is so, because, good knowledge with respect to the same will help me in making effective
business decisions because having relevant knowledge will allow me to understand the impact of
a decision within the organizational context. Similarly, I have analysed that I bring emotions and
attach with the organization, work and colleagues emotionally. This hampers my work and
negatively impact on my organizational capabilities. Therefore, there is a need for me to develop
the emotional intelligence skills within myself. In order to develop the emotional intelligence
skills within myself, I will be careful while talking to others and be mindful while choosing my
vocubulary (Rolfe, and Freshwater, 2020.). I will try to keep myself self aware at all times in
order to ensure that I do not use negative words or any other kind of personal comments at my
workplace on the basis of my own personal belief and views regarding an individual.
As per my understanding, I have analysed that I need to develop the quality of leadership
within myself because if I aim to acquire a managerial position within a reputed organization,
there will be a requirement for to lead and manage a number of people under myself. For the
same, I will inculcate an ability to understand the perspective of different employees within the
organization and help them in resolving the conflicting situations , I will keep on learning and
also motivate and inspire others from my work, level of effectiveness and productivity . This will
allow me to influence my subordinates and motivate them to carry out their roles and
responsibility in such a way that it benefits themselves as well as the organization as a whole.
As I am exploring my career, slowly and gradually, I am learning the importance of
motivation at work place with respect to the employees within an organization. I have

determined that in order to make sure that the employees works effectively within an
organization, it is important for the leader to know how to motivate the employees and take steps
within an organization that helps the employees in effectively carrying out their roles and
responsibilities within the organization (Suchman, and Trigg, 2020). However, I have identified
that I lack the ability to motivate the employees within an organization. Therefore, in order to
learn the ability to encourage the employees , I will learn the ability to communicate effectively
with the employees in such a way that I am able to influence the employees within the enterprise.
Also, I will develop the skill of communicating the needs of my subordinates to the high level
authority within an organization and help the senior managers in catering to the needs of the
employees. This will help me in motivating and encouraging the employees within the company.
CONCLUSION
From the above report, it can be concluded that, in order to achieve a good position in the
future , it is essential for an individual to keep on learning and determine the areas that are
flawed within an individual and take steps accordingly in order to address the same. Similarly,
the present report provides an overview of what an individual has learned while working as
dispatcher in a call centre and what are the essential skills that an individual needs to develop
within himself in order to achieve great heights within their future career. The report discuss the
skills that an individual need to acquire on the basis on conducting a personal reflection and
allow the individual to get growth and development within their career.
