INTRODUCTION At university an individual learn numbers of things which help them in developing effective career or future. During this they studied different types of modules which may related to communication, academic and professional skills (Al-Rawahi and Al-Balushi, 2015). This report is a reflective essay which include description about different skills which a person learn during model such as reflection writing, CV writing, interview, TIC (goal setting), personal statement and so on. Along with this, it will also consider informations related to how, why and challenges faced during model as well as report will also focus on skills required for personal and professional develop. MAIN BODY Task 1 At the starting of University there are different modules taught to us i.e. related to business management degree in order to develop understand as well as knowledgable about different topics such as reflective writing, CV writing,personal statement, goal setting and many more. During session our tutor taught us among importance of these skills and it will help us in our future development because these skills are required to develop professional career. While the session there are some things which go well but at some situation I faced some issues which directly or indirectly impact on my learning outcome. During attaining course I analyse that there are some skills which I already havesuchascommunicationskills,understandskillsaswellasIhavelittlebit knowledgable about CV writing. But there are some skills that I need to develop or improve on prior basis because that will help in developing quality career and gaining good marks at University. Task 2 There are some challenge which I faced while competing the module such as I my house and university distance is very fare due to which sometime I reach late at class as well as due to this I also miss some topics. Along with this, I also faced issue in communication at starting because at university students are from different location, cultureandreligionduetowhich their perspective arealsodifferent.I alsoface challenges in gathering information but after some by interacting with tutors I get 3
numbersofsourcesthroughwhichIcangatherappropriateaswellasreliable information related to my topics. First topic that we studied at class is related to reflective writing and for that our tutor taught us to use reflection model like Gibbs learning model because through that we can analyse experiences in more effective manner.Gibbsmodelisbasedonsixstagesi.e.description,feeling,evaluation, analysis, conclusion and action plan (Coleman and Willis, 2015). At first stage I need to analyse the situation in order to evaluate what happen such as while studying at college I got various opportunities to increase my skills through learning module. Then at secondphase Iwillevaluatemy feelings at whichI needtosharemy personal experiences which I experienced in particular situation after that at third stage I need to analyse good as well as bad experiences of particular situation. So that I can determine my enhanced skills, knowledgable and capabilities. At next phase I need to analyse situation of good as well as bad experiences through which I go through while conducting module studies. At this I analyse that main reason behind my good experiences are my tutors and classmates who always support me at every situation as well as they also help me in compelling course which I missed due to coming late at class. After that at fifth stage i.e. conclusion I need to recall whole situation from which I go through while studying module so that I can develop proper action plan at next stage related to development. In addition to this I also develop my knowledgable about CV writing which is one of the most essential part for starting professional career because through a person's CV he/she will get call from company. While delivering lecture about CV writing our tutor told us that in this cover letter as well aspersonalstatementalsoplaysmajorrolebecausethroughitwecanattract interviewer so that they get ready to take our face to face interview (Gibson and et. al., 2017). During studying about model I get to know that there are major five section of CV i.e. contact information, personal statement or profile, work experience, education and skills. In addition to this I also get to know that there are some addition section which I can add in order to make CV more attractive professional certifications, languages, professional association, additional course or training, volunteer experiences and so on.
