INTRODUCTION
Work related learning is type of strategy which is used in education and which helps in
improving the skills of students(Qian and et. al., 2019). This is the practice which is helpful in
providing the experience to students which is based on a real time based in which the application
of academic and technical skills are used. It gives the students briefing as how they have to work
in the environment which will be provided to them in the work place and helps the students to
work in different challenges which will be present in the job place. This helps the individual to
learn and develop the skills which will be useful in their employment and will provide them the
pathway as how they have to work in a job place and what must be their attitude which is
required in the career and in the job. This report will cover career and progression plan, skill
audit, self appraisal and action planning and in the last it will also include skill development
record and work based feedback.
MAIN BODY
Career and progression plan
Career and progression plan is the roadmap which provides direction to the individual as how
they have to develop themselves in order to reach to the milestones (Cheng and Tsai, 2019). It is
basically the factors which is important to be evaluated in the individual which includes the
things required to be developed and the other factors which are important for the individual to
grow and succeed in their life. Below are some of the skills which are required to be developed
in a Health care practioner-

Job instant- The healthcare personnel have to work for diagnosing the issues which includes
the diseases or any sought of illness which the person might be facing. They have to give the
treatment which includes the health care services.

Responsibilities-
 To respond to patients by asking them their history and also to carry out their
investigation and treatment diagnosis.
 To provide supervision and training to the students
 To discuss with the patients all causes and how the things have to be used with best care
 To manage time in a proper way and set the working schedules in a flexible way
Qualification-
 5 year degree course in medicine
 Capability of making decisions in high and hectic pressure
 Foundation course of training in general practitioner course

Skills matrix is a practice in which the individual have to rate the the roles which are higher in
them and the skills which are weak and this helps in analysing the things for the specific
roles(Pektaş and Acarman, 2019). It helps in providing the track of any person regarding the
capabilities which they have and what are the things which needs for slightest improvement.

Immediate skills gap analysis-
Skills gap analysis is the most important factor which needs to be done by every individual so
that they can evaluate the things which needs improvement. For me skill gap analysis is the most
important tool which will help me to identify my weakest points which needs further
improvement. If this tool is used in a perfect way then it can provide the overview of the things
which is present in an individual.
Self appraisal and action planning
Self appraisal is the process which provides the opportunity to the individual to review on the
performance which have been made by them. In this way, the individual can know what are the
things which requires improvement and the accomplishment which they have taken by
developing some or the other skill(Cheng and et. al., 2018). Self appraisal is helpful in
increasing the motivation and to develop healthy relationship with other people. On the other
hand, action planning is the process which requires proper planning of the actions which needs to
be undertaken by the person for accomplishing any goal. Action plan is just similar with to-do-
list which the individual has to make as this action plan have been made in accordance with the
things which are required to be undertaken for accomplishing the goals. Action plan have been

Work based feedback-
Work based feedback means the review and analysis of the work which has been done by any
individual in their course of learning or during the work which they are doing(Chen and et. al.,
2018). The work profile which I am doing is the healthcare practioner which involves the routine
check-ups and I know that the feedback of my work which I have to receive is only the positive
work. While giving feedback during the work also involves negative review which I does not
want to get in my job profession. At a point I feel that giving feedback either it is negative or
positive is important because this will help the person to take the feedback as what changes they
are required to made and what are things which are required to be developed (Raza and et. al.,
2018). I personally believe that work based feedback is important as this will help me in
knowing the things which needs to be developed in me and things which requires more
development.

CONCLUSION
From the above report it can be concluded that it is important for the individual to indulge in the
work related learning as it helps in increasing the knowledge and information on those things
which requires to be developed and also the things which are not being developed in an
individual. The work based learning provides the real life experience to the individual which is
helpful in a certain period of time as the person will be doing job or some other thing in which
such types of things becomes very important. Self development is the important thing which is
important and which is required to be developed in an individual.
