INTRODUCTION
The personal and professional development is the process which is continuous in nature
and it is having positive meaning through which individuals are able to obtain standardised
aims and objectives in which efforts are established in order to get high efficacy and to attain
overall objectives in stipulated time frame (McCarthy,2016). This is a prospectus of learning
under which high working efficacy can be performed in which more sufficiency can be
attained. Development is the procedure under which skills, knowledge, values and attributes are
increased in order to get assistance over which better growth options are seen which can be
adapted for future benefits. This report is prepared in the basis of Tesco which is the number
one retailer in UK and they are operating their business in groceries and other items. This report
is the reflective journal in which influence of employability and study skills associated with
Kolb’s reflective cycle is being enumerated.
MAIN BODY
Kolb’s learning style: This is a learning theory which was propounded by David Kolb
and he published his model on this topic for the very first time in the year of 1939. This is an
approach which is reflecting particular path by which skills and abilities of individual can be
enhanced by taking help of loop within continual manner. This is an essential style of learning
in which with the help of past experiences performance in present is being recounted and
examined in order to evaluate individual’s personality in overall manner. This is having four
stages in which intrinsic cognitive procedure is taken. This also incorporates procurement of
related flexibility which is occurring at random situation and new ideas are emerged in the
process of learning. Learning is defined as the procedure in which knowledge is enhanced by
transforming various situations (Allison and et. al., 2016). Within this employability and skills
related to study are utilised which are essential for enhancement of career and professional life
as well. Some of the relevant skills are defined as under:

Diverging: This is a learning that is highly associated with feelings and observations in
which various aspects are taken in order to move forward in a positive direction. This is a type
of sensitive learning which includes various aspects in the process of watching instead of
performing in order to gather various information’s that is collected through imaginative
thoughts in problem solving process (Martz, Hughes and Braun, 2017). Within this concept I
over looked in concrete scenarios just by examining various viewpoints of people and analysed
the prevailing situation. This is also known as divergent style as within this I performed in a
better way though this needed idea procurement such as brainstorming in order to improvise
sense of interest so as to collect varied information. So within this I enhance my research skills
and by which I examined associated factors that are useful for me in this program and to make
effective final interpretation as well. Within this unconventional decision get improvised which
are based on examination of associated information, writing of report, critical thinking, data
gathering, and analysis of critical manner within relevant information. Thus the relevant
information can be developed in order to locate various topics.
Assimilating: This is the style of higher association within thinking and examining
within preferences in which logical approach is being served in concise and conceptual manner
in order to get opportunities on basis of practicality. I have the capability of understanding and

interpreting in logical and clear manner. Similarly I am less emphasised on people and more
emphasised over collecting various concepts and ideas. This is being more attractive as in
providing various information in which logical career is enhanced with the help of lectures,
examining various models and reading those articles which are associated with this. In this way
I am having employability in which problem solving skills and team work is being enhanced
in order to solve composite problems and to generate easiness in broadening the business. This
is highly essential that in the process of working individuals are providing solution to their
complexities which are associated with managerial convenience. This is also required that
shared values and capabilities may help in attaining overall results (Block, 2016). This is used
so as to make appropriate changes in which growth and personal growth can be made in
favourable condition.
Converging: This includes various styles which are associated with capacities of
problem solving and their development skills as well. In this various aspects are learnt by
individual in the process of fetching for solution which is dependent upon practical situations.
The individual is using practical synopsis when they are using this learning style and this is
based on varied theories or significance. Various problems are solved by individuals with the
help of appropriate information within sufficient time frame (Lussier and Kimball, 2019).
People with converging style are highly attracted towards working and parallel to this technical
aspects are also specialised in technological abilities as well. Within this I recognised that
employability skills which are associated with usage of IT as IT is the field in which
modifications are always introduced and they remains in the field for specific time. I am having
ample interest towards technicalities of IT field which helped me through out within various
stages and due to proficiency in excel and power point presentations effective outputs were
developed in the way.
Accommodating: This is the skill in which more emphasised has been elaborated on
feelings and doings in that learning style so as to use logical findings and intuitions as well. The
individuals are getting high consideration within groups and always preferred within practical
and experimental approaches and these are managed in new challenges and emerging
experiences in order to carry out various plans and their execution as well. This is a type of
learning in which individual is more inclined towards logical interpretation and analysis. Within

this own learning ability is being developed by individual and reliance upon the same is
enumerated within various formats so as to analyse these in a batter way and obtain desirable
outcomes. This is the style in which employability and study skills are included such as
communication skills and team management skills can be get enhanced. I am always highly
inclined towards establishing effective communication with people in order to provide high
clarity over thoughts and transparency of sharing information so as to resolve issues in message
transformation to others. This is highly required that in making effective connections with
people team is being managed in a proper way that means handled in a very effective manner.
Thus skills associated with team management is helpful in obtaining efficient outcomes and to
make those outcomes of high tendency so that to make them gather with collaborative efforts.
This is highly essential that various factors are examined so as to provide high ratio of success
to the employees and organise business working in a very prominent manner so that proper
development can be reach out on routine manner.
Various skills are learned and exercised in the process of taking out effective outcomes
on routine basis with the help of Kolb’s learning style. This is more significant to provide high
edge positive and productive results in regular manner. I used this style within learning in order
to improvise my employability skills and the manner in which I am presenting myself to the
business so as to enhance my suitability and to grab more considerable opportunities to choose
companies among pool. These skills are making positive impact on my personality due to that I
am more inclined towards perfection and enhancing my working abilities so as to obtain more
productive outputs and to attain future goals in more significant manner as well.
CONCLUSION
From the above discussion this can be deduced that employability skill are helpful in
making positive impact over business working and their working people as more concentration
can be drawn out in order to get high knowledge and information which is associated and
relevant by which higher position can be attained by the business in a very low time. This is
required that skills and abilities are improvised in order to plan for continuous development and
to increase gaining of knowledge for enhancing professional career of individuals. On the other
side Kolb’s learning style is used to examine to provide improvement over skills and

capabilities in the process of learning as in continuous process so as to obtain full focus over
personal and professional development as well (Aggarwal, 2016). This is the style in which
changes are made on repetitive manner so as to provide changes in overall personality and to
provide supervision and improvements over competitive advantages which is received by
making transformed changes and positive aspects as well.
