Introduction
The organisation of ABC is trying to implement uninterrupted power supply
procurement systems or UPS systems in various households and organisations in Nigeria. It
has been found that many places in the country face tremendous power outages for which the
organisation is reputed enough to provide backup power services.
Demonstration of the significant bridging of theory and practise
Since the project was based on the providing of services to the owner of the house, I
believe that the theory of service provision that the organization would be looking forward to
while providing the services are 7Ps theory of the Service Market. Aligning it to the practical
application, I would like to analyse the services provided to the Nigerian house;
Product: The product is used for satisfying the needs of the customer, which in this
case is the Nigerian family. The product that is delivered to them intended to solve all the
problems that the family was facing due to the frequent power cut problems in the area. The
theory states that the product meant for the customer should mean to solve the problems that
they might be facing. Thus, the product is amalgamated with the theory defined.
Price: The theory behind the price of a project is dependent on the amount of the total
cost of not just the product, but also the pricing of the services and the processes. I have
found, that the CBA prepared for the project also decides the price that the house owner
needs to pay along with the management costs and process costs that the owner needs to pay
just for once. This also amalgamates the theory and the real-world practises.
Place: The theory of the place mix in marketing focuses on the availability of the
services to the customer. In this case, I have found that the place that was selected had a
proper estimation of the power availability and all other factors so that they could proper

support to the customers after the initial installation. This also abides by the theory
implemented.
Promotion: The promotion theory explains that the business needs to convey the
universal selling point of their product to the customer, which is also feasibly followed by the
organization while they have been providing the services to the Nigerian family. Therefore,
following the theory and implementing it into the real-life scenario.
People: This theory is justified to be the people associated with the organization and
the real-life incident also delivers the same. Thus, aligning the theory to the real-life case.
Physical evidence: This theory states the intangibility of the services, which is also
maintained in the real-life incident as the communication and services are complementary to
each other.
Process: The actual mechanism of the process means to deliver the proper services,
which is synonymous to the real-life project in this case.
Along with the processes developed for the implementation of the generator within
the house their other project management theories applied for the framework for the creation
in this project considered as the achieved task everyday analysed through the explanation of
the outcomes. The lessons that I have learnt from this assignment would include all the plans
made through the entire project plan presenting the reflection on how these have bridged the
gap between theory and practice. For this, the daily activities are logged as well as the
achievement that has been performed an acquired each day.
I believe that this was done in a tabular form during the estimation of the initial plan
in the project. It should make it easier to understand how every task has followed through the
established plan in the beginning. In addition to that, this should also justify the feasibility of

the implementation plan and teamwork of the members within. Both of these ideals would be
amalgamated to find out how the project is achieving every activities that are mutually
dependent on each other. The implemented Idea was dependent upon the outcome of the
project that I believed was also dependent upon the parameters in which the resources were
available. The project closure phase concluded the activities that need to be completed right
on the schedule time for making the UPS framework. All these developed theory by the
organisation implemented has been based on various phases normally required in project
management plan. This would include the project in association phase, the project planning
phase, the execution place and the project closure phase. I believe that the project was
primarily focused on the cost management and time management along with the scope
management as ideally, a project can only be considered as a feasible and successful one if
the scope management of the project is completed, with all the activities completed along
with the estimated budget and plan. I understand that there are various other theories related
to this project including the logistics, technique adopted for production scheduling and
labourers. There was also one problem that could be treated as a risk management plan to be
taken care of. This included the management of the customers and also the availability of
power in the area.
Integration and Synthesis of complex information from the project to knowledge
gained in previous studies
The project that I have been working on is based on the implementation of generated
systems in the houses of Nigeria that would be highly beneficial for the organisation to gain
financial returns and pay the labours in the organisation. There are various complex situations
that were faced during the implementation of the generator system in the house in Nigeria.
The primary problem that I would select is a complex case is the unavailability of electric
supply within the area for under 24 hours. The implementation plan required electricity,

which is not available all the time in the area. I also learnt that the area where the
implementation plan for the generator was going to take place is entirely based on a power
outage area. There are numerous issues that are faced during the regular work for the
implementation plan as per the assumptions made. I would really like to identify the fact the
two units of generator is needed to be installed within the house but it require the house
owners to let the organisation implement the generator and prepare a financial plan. The
financial plan also was dependent on a budget framing a total projected value of all the
recurring cost along with the one time cause that the house owner need to pay. It was
estimated that the total budget was near about equivalent to 24,320 AUD Nigerian money
that the people have to pay the organisation along with the yearly maintenance cost ideated
by the organisation. I believe that the payment of this implementation plan would become
some kind of a problem as this would depend upon signing of the documents of both the
parties before beginning any financial transaction or project work. The monitor and control of
the initial plants dependent upon and estimated schedule and work breakdown structure that
clearly stated how long the project is going to take and what works are being integrated
within the project in association and implementation.
There were several complex phases within the implementation plan that was
estimated to be the milestone of the project. I believe that the organisation need a very firm
plan by estimating the milestones. This would enable the organisation in completing one
milestone after another and analyse the utility of the previous phase of the project and its
feasibility as well. With all the processes identified and specified according to the structure
and framework developed for the project, I would like to add that the project has utilised all
the theoretical implementation of a project into this, send has made the real life situation
worthwhile.

Conclusion
Therefore, according to the study that I have gone through, about the installation of
two generators in household in Nigeria by ABC company I realised the utility of the theory
that we have read in in about project management practices and how can they be
implemented in the real-life experiences bridging the gap between theory and practical. I
understood that all the project management practices that are being implemented within the
project implementation plan and project initiation, every step is absolutely essential as per the
identified theory according to project management guidelines. I also found that even though
the company has implemented the theoretical ideas for implementing regenerators and
handling the project, I have also found that the project manager has made necessary changes
within the project implementation plan that would not harm the project, the organisation, and
the return of investment and other aspects of the project. However the changes were required
since this is the difference that I have found in between theory and practical use. Theory is a
much more generalized form and for the implementation of the actual project in real time for
the Nigerian house has a much more specified approach for which the project management
theories had to be adjusted according to the requirement of the clients, the stakeholders and
the organisation as a whole.
