INTRODUCTION
Personal development planning can be identified as an effective process of developing an
action plan which is mainly based on values, awareness, goal setting and reflection (Personal
development plan, 2018). In simple word, it is a structured process of making an action plan
deployed on individual's achievements, performance and learning in order to plan their
professional, educational and personal development. Main motive of preparing this report is to
identify the different individual skills and attributes of personal and their importance (Artzt, And.
et. al., 2015). In order to increase and knowledge about specific field, an individual use different
kind of theories and models which is highly supported for themself. This report is based on
different entries which cover four core skills such as time-management, team working, conflict
resolution and giving and receiving feedback. All these qualities are more essential and
important for the growth and success of person. Beside this, personal development plan and
action plan is also prepared which help an individual to overcome their weaknesses as well as
accomplish its personal and professional goal within predetermined period of time.

Core skill- Team working
Teamwork is the cooperative effort of a group in order to accomplish a common goal
and complete a task and activity in an efficient and effective manner. Team working is
useful and essential skill for me to develop coordination among staff members (Bourn,
2014). My core skill is team working which is good for me to work with each other and
achieve better outcomes. Thus, it is a process of working get together with a team of people
to gain a goal. Teamwork is often an important part of me to work with each other and
trying my best in any circumstances.
Importance of skills
Team working is my core skills which is useful for me to deal with difficult situation
in an easy manner. Such quality support me in order to develop better and strong
relationship among staff members. My main reason behind selecting this skill is to boost an
atmosphere that fosters loyalty and friendship. These close-knit relationship encourage
people in related and align them to perform or work harder (Waterman, 2014).
Team working is more important and essential for me in achieving better outcomes

and desired objectives within predetermined period of time. There are some importance and
significance of team working that develop my knowledge in different fields.
Team work develops activity where the sum is more than the parts.
Team work encourage leaner and flatter structures with fewer hierarchy .(Gould,
2016).
It encourages my multi-disciplinary work and activity.
This skills fosters responsiveness and flexibility, especially my ability regarding to
respond to change.
Team work encourage my sense of equity, camaraderie and achievement important
for a motivated environment or workplace.
When I managed in proper manner, teamwork is more essential and effective way to
work.
Above all these are main importance of team work skills which is benefited for me for
example: it enhance communication by assisting cooperation and open discussion among
group of staff members, increase result by leveraging strengths of each team member's
(Cabaroglu, 2014). It provide chances for personal development and growth within preset
time period.
Current competent regarding the skills
Team work is main and core skill of my which help me to accomplish better outcomes
easily. Currently my team working ability is not more better so in this I try to improve this
through build up trust and respect and many other (Häfner, Oberst and Stock, 2014). There
are another different to improve such skills which are determined as under:
Collect frequent feedback: I receive frequent feedback or commend from my peers
and tutors. This can mean feedback on finished work and activity but also consider sharing
any queries, praise, insight or issue the group may be having.
Johari window: It is a tool that assist me better understand my relationship with others
and themselves. This techniques help me to improve my team working skill and assist to
provide better results in successful career and better results.
Practice listening and speaking: The next time I sit down for a conversation or speech
with my partner and team, think carefully regarding the process (Grissom, Loeb and Mitani,
2015). Beside this I contribute my full efforts in the conversation which help me to improve

my team working skills in an effective and efficient manner.
Cultivate open communication: I improve my team working skill so I try to share
ideas, speak open, voice my opinion and make suggestions across entire aspects of the
concern. It highly help me to enhance my such skill and achieve better results easily.
Thus, all these are important part for me to improve my skills and accomplish personal and
professional goal easily. Collecting feedback from the peers and tutor I observed in some
area my team working skill is not good like easily completing all work in given time,
developing friendly environment to others (Levett-Jones and Lapkin, 2014).

Team working is my best skills as per my point of view but as an another opinion that
they say in some area I am weak in managing entire work of team member systematically

team working ability.

Team working skill will definitely support me to arrange my work and priorities in a
systematic manner. This will support me to accomplish my personal and professional goal
and objectives. This quality will also improve my performance and productivity level that
will assist me during my work and activity as I will easily deal with complex situation
(Angeli, 2015). This skill will also benefit me in my future career and studies by providing
effective management in working style.

Giving and receiving effective feedback, like whole skills, requires learning, patience
and practice. Feedback is complimentary good performance as well as offering corrective
suggestions. Giving and receiving is more core skill which help me to easily collect
feedback from the tutor, peer top manager. This skill is possess by me in order to deliver
honest and direct feedback to supervisees (Felton, Crowell and Liu, 2015). Currently I
receive minimal training program on how to give concrete feedback or comment plus
coaching that can assist me enhance my performance. It is more effective for me to easily
complete all work and activity in a systematic manner.
Importance of skills
My core skill and quality is giving and receiving feedback which is good for me to
develop better coordination among the staff members (Fan, And. et. al., 2014). My main
reason about selecting this skill is to collect accurate information about personal and
professional information. Such skill is more essential for me which are determined as below:
Feedback is an opportunity to motivate: It taking best opportunity for me to express
appreciation and acknowledge of a job successfully. It motivates me to accomplish my

100% but it is not sufficient so in order to increase this skill I use different tools and
techniques which are determined as below:
Assertiveness test: It is one of the best and essential tool which help me to improve my
such skills. Assertiveness is the capability in order to communicate and formulates
individual's own opinion, wishes and thoughts in a clear manner. It help me in fulling my
potential goals easily.
Feedback from peer and tutor: It is another way to increase my skills in an appropriate

my giving and receiving skills. Beside this I identify my weak area and its solution in a

In this I obverse my weak point in receiving and giving feedback to or from the peer and
tutor. I lack in providing accurate and relevant information to my senior manager (Stelmach,
2014). It effects on my performance and motivation level while completing my work in
given time period. Beside this I use assertiveness test which highly essential for me to gather
accurate amount of data from or to the peer.
