Part one:
I learnt about many things from my work experience, especially about
employment appraisal. It is necessary to work hard for getting a good
appraisal from the employer. I have work experience of Joyful restaurant in
Christchurch. I am working there in many functional roles, which areas:
Serving guests
Beverage inventory check
Cashier
Bartender
Order food and beverages
I knew all the knowledge about these functions. I managed the entire
task properly in rotation. It was based on the staff and manager to provide a
suitable role according to various conditions. To get a high appraisal, it is
necessary to have multiple skills at the workplace. The joyful restaurant is a
family business and famous because of its products and services to its
customers. I knew about various works at Joyful restaurants, such as billing,
serving food, liquor, inventory, and many others. Therefore, I can easily
handle all the processes. In addition, it is necessary to work in different
culture and functions to get a high appraisal (Arya, 2018).
The joyful restaurant is having more than 20 people staff to manage all
the works, such as manager, chefs, waiters, or servers, and many others. We
can serve more than 150 guests at a time in a total of 27 tables. Joyful
restaurant’s average turnover per day is $6000.
It is necessary to have a good turnover of the employer. Therefore, the
restaurant will provide a better appraisal to their employees. I am trying my
best to develop new skills at the restaurant and provide my best services to

customers. There are many services in the restaurant, which can be
managed easily.
Part Two:
I learnt that personality matters a lot in the restaurant because
customers have affected the service providers. I learnt that my personality
and various skills make me different from others. I learnt that skills make a
good personality in front of customers and management. I had developed
many skills during my work experience. There are few things, which are
necessary to work at the workplace, such as effective communication skills,
honesty, teamwork, leadership, ICT knowledge, and other skills.
I learnt that a worker in a restaurant should polite in their services in
front of customers and management as well. There are few things, which can
be attracting customers in the restaurant, such as products, services,
personality, politeness, honesty, punctuality, and teamwork.
I always tried to provide my best in my service to make satisfied to
customers. There are many customers, who prefer me to provide different
services because of my politeness and perfect working style. In addition,
there is a huge impact of personality on the customers because of a good
relationship based on the behaviour of a person. I always treated most of the
customers in a polite way. I resolve their products and services issues if they
faced at the restaurant. I made a good relationship with most of the
permanent customers based on my behaviour and personality. I learnt from
(Bolden, 2016), that a person can manage their organizational work properly
using leadership skills and it will provide a huge growth in their career. It will
also provide various opportunities in the future. In addition, leadership has
provided better results in problem-solving activities (Day, Fleenor, Atwater,
Sturm, & McKee, 2014).
