Self assessment is an essential tool which helps in understanding the persons strengths
and weaknesses and areas of improvement. After carrying out my self assessment, it got to know
about my strength and weaknesses. I have undergone self evaluation tests available online to
check my skills in respect to my personal and professional skills. Based on my assessment I was
able to do my own swot analysis. As per my current situation being a university student, it is
essential for me to sharpen my skills to grow in my career. The prime strength that is very much
important for my career growth and future is adaptability, observation skills, receiving feedback
and acting on own initiative (Lock, 2019). These four skills are my prime strength in which I am
good at and which will be very helpful in my future growth. These are those skills which are
actually enjoyed doing for example, doing observation, I used to do observe everything even my
surrounding because I believe in learning which can be done from anywhere. I used to initiate
actions on my own or I can say I am an initiator and I don't hesitate in taking the first step. Along
with that I am having the skill of adaptability and I can easily adopt the changes as and when
required. I am flexible enough to adapt to the changing trends and needs and requirements
(Hänggli and Hirschi, 2018). My next prime strength is receiving feedback, I am open to
receiving feedback from others with respect to the skills and anything about me which is not
good and required to be changes or managed. All these skills will help me in grabbing
opportunities and which will add value to my career.
Next category of skills are necessary skills which are important for everyone who wants
to achieve higher growth and success in their career. These skills are important for current role
and future role too. The most necessary skill is working under pressure. In the initial stage of
career everyone faces a situation in which they have to work under pressure in order to achieve
the required target. For example, work like sales required the employees to work hard to achieve
the target for which high work pressure is put on by the managers or relevant authorities. How to
deal with such situation completely depends upon me (Li, Fagan and Bourguiba, 2016). I have to
make sure that I am proficient in this skill and even if I don't like it much or doesn't enjoy it. Its
not like that I am not good at this skill but every time the work pressure is not same and its keeps
on changing so I have to strong enough to improve my this strength even more in order to take
advantage of it. I even try to find fun in this skill in the way that it will help in maximizing my
potential and sharpen my skills.

have been good at solving these numericals and knows what are the different ways to solve a
single problem (Maree, 2018). But after my schooling I have not even touched the numericals
much and don't know whether it is useful in my current career option. I sometimes feel that there
can be possibility that after getting proficient in this numerical skill might help me in providing
better direction to my career. So, I have decided to make it as my new skill and work upon it to
make it my biggest strength. This might help me in adjusting my career and putting it on the
right track.
