Introduction
The following study aims to run a multiple regression model with at least two independent
variables which contain more than 10 observations. The study aims to evaluate some of the
factors which influence the PE ratio of a company. The price-to-earnings ratio indicates the
anticipated share price based on its earnings.
The independent variables identified for this study are Stock Price, TTM Net EPS, Growth
Rate and the Interest Rate. The stock price is the price of a single share of company stock.
The trailing 12 months (TTM) net eps is the data for the past twelve successive months that is
utilized in reporting financial figures. It is used by most investors since it assumes objectives
the company reported earnings accurately. On the other hand, the growth rate is the
percentage change in the revenue of a company. For this study, it is the compounded
annualized growth rate of Boeing company revenue. The Interest rate is the charged amount
by lenders for the use of assets which is expressed as a percentage of the principal. In this
study, the interest rate is used in showing the current situation of the economy.
The finding of the study will be helpful in reinforcing the existing theoretical findings
regarding the factors which affect the price-to-earnings ratio. The firm chosen to pursue the
objectives of this study is the Boeing Company. The Boeing Company is classified under the
aerospace industry in the market. Boeing Company is a multinational corporation based in
America which designs, manufactures and sells rotorcraft, satellites, airplanes and missiles
globally. The company also provides product support and leasing services. It has its corporate
headquarters in Chicago, Illinois. The company has been classified in the industrials sectors
in the NYSE and under the Aerospace & Defences industry
