INTRODUCTION
Reflective journal can be described as a logical exercise, where the author outlines an
actual or imaginary interaction,memory, event scene in his life. Hence, the focus is on piece of
work which is communicative. The author brings in the events in order to identify detailed
information and feeling, and then show on meaning, examine negative and positive or observed
an urgent need for more learning.
LEARNING LOG
DW-1 Organization Performance
We were given lecture on how to improve the performance of organization through
improving technology and human resources, since these two elements plays a major role in the
organization.
DW-2 Engineering Design Report
We Discussed various problems and solutions in engineering courses, through
participating in Impromptu Design activities.
DW-3 Leadership skills
During this week, we were given opportunity to learn more about management and
leadership skills. The workshop involved learning more about how we could improve human
resource in the organization.

DW-4 Communication skills
Communication plays a major role in the organization. A good communication usually
enhance the overall performance of the organization. During the week, we had an opportunity to
improve communication skills.
DW-5 Change management process
Change process usually cause resistance in the business, therefore it should involve every
department in the firm for it to be successful. We were given lecture on how we could introduce
change in the organization ,and how to ensure it improves the overall performance of the
business.
DW-6 BI SYSTEM and Team work
BI can be used if different companies to enhance business operations. We were enlighten
more about team work and cooperation. Team work plays an important role in the success of the
group .
THE PURPOSE OF THE TASK
The current task was offered to students in order to give to understand the benefits of
studying engineering and information technology and its connection to cognitive and planning
plans in the engineering design activity. The task interpretation, among the learners is
considered as an important meta-cognitive attribute and the hub of self-regulated learning
(SRL) theory to that extent as it form key learning features as well as recursive self-regulating
procedures.

Butler (2005) established that good understanding of a given learning exercise centered
in the productive Meta-cognition enlightenment about duty is associated with learners’
thoughtful preparation, self monitoring, as well as selection of appropriate plans to execute task
or goals.
Meta-cognition in the Self-Regulated Learning Context
Majority of educational and psychological theory a on learning usually focus on assisting
learners to become more knowledgeable of and responsible for their own cognition and
thinking. The word used to define this process is meta-cognition.
The dissimilarity between metacognition and cognition is based on their functionality.
The cognition deals with individual's capability to build knowledge, process data, attain
knowledge, as well as work out problems, meta-cognition usually concerns the capability to
control the working of cognition to ascertain that the goals have been attained or the challenge
has been resolved.
