INTRODUCTION Olympics games, is an athlete festival which is organised with the aim of developing awareness about the sports and games. It is considered as the world’s foremost sports competition in which more than 200 nations participating. It is originated in the ancient Greece which was revived in late 19thcentury. This event features summer and winter sports competition in which thousands of athletes participated in various competitions. The international Olympic committee is responsible for choosing the host city by analysing it on various factors. This event consists of 26 sports with nearly 300 events which are organised with efficiency to avoid the controversies. Women have been allowed to participate in Olympics since 1990. The official languages of the games are English, French and language of the host country(Blakemore, 2018). The five rings of the Olympic symbols are designed by the Baron Pierre de Coubertin who is the co-founder of modern Olympic game. This represents the five inhabited continents of the world. The rings consist of six colours blue, yellow, black, green, red and white colour in the background because every nation’s flag contains at least one of them. The Olympic Games have been hosted by 23 countries across the globe. The first official Olympic mascot was waldi, the dachshund, in 1972 at Munich.
