INTRODUCTION
Teachers usually specialized in a particular grade level and subjects. Similarly ESOL
teachers are instructor of the non- speaking people on the fundamentals of the English language,
so they can communicate with the others effectively and ESOL teachers are mostly employed by
the people who came from the other countries. People who came from foreign within a country
where people speak English as a second language usually appoint ESOL teachers, so they can be
conferable with the locals.
This report will define the resources of teaching like Visual prompts or the simulation.
Providing opportunities to develop ICT skills and learnings like Engaging learning style , use of
equipments and tools etc. This report will evaluate own effectiveness areas from own specialist
learning needs. It will analyse resource designing and include the sources within the teaching
that inform resource development. This report will implement theories, models and principle and
also analyse ways in which resources can be adopted to enable inclusive approaches. In the end
of this report will evaluate self effectiveness in the design resourcing to identify area where
improvements are needed and it will also develop a five point action plan for own improvement
in design and use of resources to enhance learning.
TASK
A) Main purpose of resources in learning and teaching
Teaching resources
There are some resource of the teaching that help ESOL teachers develop their teaching
skills and make them more effective in their teaching task. Teaching resources like Visuals
Prompts are useful resources for the Visuals Prompts teachers to make their student understand
thorough Visuals like photographs, objects etc. That makes easy for the student to understand
what their teacher trying to make them understand. In a English language It can be difficult for
the students to understand it but it becomes easy for the teachers when they teach with the help
of Visual Prompts. When students learn the new languages in the Immersive environments then
they can feel Anxious and Disoriented (Alana., 2017). Visuals are important in this situation to
make the student conferable with the language and teachers can also explain it well through the
Graphs, photographs etc. It helps to reduce Anxiety in the students and increase their
comprehension and can even help them with the decoding.

teachers to translate some words for the students because sometimes students can face

I first strength of mine is that I have the practical skills which are needed to adapt to the
new designs or different variety of designs. I have excellent English pronunciation and grammar
knowledge. Also, I can develop my own teaching material.
Another strength which I have is that I can use resources to address a range of learner's
need as I have good vocabulary and clear concepts and I can understand which techniques best
suits different learners.
Weakness
My first weakness as an ESOL teacher is I have to develop blended learning which helps
in flexible and distance learning. I have to learn about different online educational materials so
that I can deliver it more effectively.
Another weakness of mine is that I cannot use ICT properly. There are many functions
and tools which need to be learned and to identify their use. I have to explore more pedagogy

in which he or she is lacking.

improve his or her skills as the specialist already an expert of the area.
Internet research – By indulging in internet research the teacher can improve their own skills as
internet has a vast options and platforms to learn from.

skills. Evaluation of effectiveness of specific resources from own specialist area in meeting
individual learning needs such as addressing and developing required skills, actively involving
learners etc. The principles of resources design consist of meeting learning needs, fit-for-
purpose, sufficient quality and quantity. Also, sources that inform resource development in own
specialist area were evaluated and analysis of the ways theories, principles and models of
inclusive curriculum design can be used to inform development in own specialist area and the
ways it can be adapted. The legal requirements and responsibilities relating to the development
and use of resource were discussed and also the implications of intellectual property rights in
resource development were analysed. The effectiveness of design and use of resources were
evaluated and areas of strengths and improvement in developing and using resources were
