INTRODUCTION
Teachers usually specialized in a particular grade level and subjects. Similarly ESOL
teachers are instructor of the non- speaking people on the fundamentals of the English language,
so they can communicate with the others effectively and ESOL teachers are mostly employed by
the people who came from the other countries. People who came from foreign within a country
where people speak English as a second language usually appoint ESOL teachers, so they can be
conferable with the locals.
This report will define the resources of teaching like Visual prompts or the simulation.
Providing opportunities to develop ICT skills and learnings like Engaging learning style , use of
equipments and tools etc. This report will evaluate own effectiveness areas from own specialist
learning needs. It will analyse resource designing and include the sources within the teaching
that inform resource development. This report will implement theories, models and principle and
also analyse ways in which resources can be adopted to enable inclusive approaches. In the end
of this report will evaluate self effectiveness in the design resourcing to identify area where
improvements are needed and it will also develop a five point action plan for own improvement
in design and use of resources to enhance learning.
TASK
A) Main purpose of resources in learning and teaching
Teaching resources
There are some resource of the teaching that help ESOL teachers develop their teaching
skills and make them more effective in their teaching task. Teaching resources like Visuals
Prompts are useful resources for the Visuals Prompts teachers to make their student understand
thorough Visuals like photographs, objects etc. That makes easy for the student to understand
what their teacher trying to make them understand. In a English language It can be difficult for
the students to understand it but it becomes easy for the teachers when they teach with the help
of Visual Prompts. When students learn the new languages in the Immersive environments then
they can feel Anxious and Disoriented (Alana., 2017). Visuals are important in this situation to
make the student conferable with the language and teachers can also explain it well through the
Graphs, photographs etc. It helps to reduce Anxiety in the students and increase their
comprehension and can even help them with the decoding.

ICT Skills- Some other resources like Computer software that can be useful for the
teachers to translate some words for the students because sometimes students can face
difficulties to understand it. ESOL teachers should focus to use this kind of resources to make
their teaching more effective.
Learning Resources
Their are various learning style that can help ESOL teachers to help students to learn
English more effectively, Hybrid style is one of them. Hybrid learning is an combination of the
online and face to face learning into a one cohesive experience. ESOL teachers can teach the
student from both on
Develop required skills- IT is necessary for the ESOL teachers to develop necessary
skills in students like communication skills that will help in effective learning.
B) Evaluate the effectiveness of the specific resource in meeting individual Learning needs in
teaching and learning context
There are some resources within the ESOL teaching in meeting a individual needs in the
learning.
Effectiveness of Specific resources
Specific to knowledge content- It is necessary for the ESOL teachers to provide specific
knowledge to their student that required them, and they should avoid providing unnecessary
knowledge so learning can be effective. Identification of the specific resources can be helpful
and increase the knowledge of students Face to face learning can be effective sources for the
students as compare to the other sources of learning (Lashley., 2019). Students pay more
attention when teacher teach them face to face and it also makes easy for the ESOL teachers to
teach students. Effectiveness of this kind of resources are high as compare to the other.
Matching with the ability of the learner- this is the resource that can be helpful in
teaching at the level and ability of the learner. They can set the difficultly level like, if the
student has just started learning the English language then Teacher can start with the basics and
slowly, they can move forward. It will help them to learn more effectively and match with their
standard of learning of English language. It will increase the effectiveness of teaching by the
ESOL teachers and they will provide better learning to their students.
Addressing required skills- Addressing the required skills in students can be to make the
