INTRODUCTIONThe major focus of the report is on one of the major transnational crime activity that ishuman trafficking. It leads to destruction of an individual further leading to affecting theeconomy of the country as well. Further, the report ponders on facilitation of human traffickingin Syria due to prevailing conflicts. The aim of the research is to find the answer to the questionhas the conflict in Syria facilitated human trafficking?” According to Leong (2016), Transnational organized crime is a kind of organised crimewhich is interrelated to cross borders of the nation where individual or a group of people plan toexecute an illegal business venture in other country. The main aim of this group is to instigateviolence and corruption in the nation. The most common form of organized crime includes,human smuggling, money laundering, human trafficking, cybercrimes, smuggling of humans,endangered species, weapons and nuclear material etc. Human trafficking refers to trade of human where they are involved in cohesive activitiesmost commonly including forced labour, sexual slavery or exploitation on commercial sites. Theactivity may also result in forced marriage or leading to extraction of organs such as surrogacy orova removal. It violates the rights of the victim restricting free movements from one place toanother. The activity has various ill effect leading to affect the country as it leads to disruption infree market, draining national assets to other country further restricting the development of stablesociety as well.BACKGROUNDTransnational crime has been an issue since ages as and when a country enters into a waror argument with another nation. It has a greater interruption the peace and stability of thecountry often giving support to bribery, violence and terrorism. Human trafficking is consideredas the fastest growing transnational organized crime in the world. It can also be in the form ofbonded, forced and child labour as well (Bergeron, 2013). Deception and coercion on any personviolates the basic human rights given to every individual as they are forced to provide services tothe traffickers without their will. Another way of exploitation is through indulging in prostitutionand sexual abuse. It is considered as an element of offence. According to Article 3, paragraph (a) of the Protocol to Prevent, Suppress and PunishTrafficking in Persons, the definition of trafficking is recruiting, transporting, transferring,1
