The fleet of company’s Airbus A320s has increased to more than 300 by the end of the decade
with a high purchase option (Easyjet.com 2018).
Conclusion:
It can be concluded that efficient leaders develops management styles that helps the
employees to generate quality services and products in a cost-efficient way. By developing a
well-defined mission statement allows the leader to set an effective strategy of the organization.
Carolyn McCall set all the activities in the organization that aligned with the strategic goals of
the company. She prepared people to work differently and would further motivate the
employees to modify their behavior. Carolyn McCall managed change in easyJet expertly
through her leadership style and earned profit and retained competitive edge in the
organization.
Transformational leadership style of McCall established confidence and trust in his
followers to adopt new policies and plan. Therefore, it can rightly be said that McCall would be
the right person for easyJet even in future because of her leadership and management style.
The innovative approach of McCall proved helpful to foster growth of culture within the
organization. Moreover, proper vision of being customer focused also proved effective for the
sustainability and development of the airlines industry. The effort made by her to bring change
in the organization leads to betterment of EasyJet Company. Change leader is therefore related
with planned change and deals with emotions of the people.
