INTRODUCTIONWhenever guests arrive at a hotel then, the relationship with host is referred ashospitality. This way sales development departmentof hotel will enhance its performance and also effective sales will lead to enhancedmerchandising.So particularly considering hospitality sector, the report throws light upon Marriott Hotelin UK. It is a diversified company of hospitality sector. It manages and does franchising of widerange of hotels and lodging facilities as well. It was established in the year 1957. At present,more than 5700 properties spread across 110 countries, are operated under Marriott Inc. In the report contribution of the product mix of Marriott has been discussed and its effectover sales & profits has also been pondered upon. Further various strategies for segmentation ofmarket along with sales promotion and merchandising of Marriott has been considered.Moreover, the way sales get affected by involvement of staff members has also been focussed.TASK 11.1 Key components of services of MarriottThe four key components that are used by the Marriott services have been discussed asbelow:Service Culture: Elements of leadership principles, norms, work habits & vision, missionand values are responsible for building up of the services culture within Marriott. Through these social processes management manifests itselfas delivering of services and giving values to the guests that arrive at Marriott. Thesuperior delivery systems and also realistic concept of services followed at Marriott helpsin making their service culture a success. If customer is satisfied byservices offered then the overall brand recognition for Marriott will enhance (Diabat,Abdallah and Henschel, 2015). 1.2 Contribution of product mix towards sales and profits of MarriottIn order to make contribution of different products mix, the chosen firm has opportunity toincrease their sales and create various benefits at workplace. In this way, they are alsoencouraging to customer to buy their products from the market. The focus at Marriott is givenupon the core products and services which emphasize on particular element. In this aspect,Marriott using this to solve particular problem of customer (Adam, Pretzsch and Pettenella,2013).
