INTRODUCTION Personal and professional development is a basic and ongoing process which involves skill enhancement and upliftment of individuals capabilities and power. The personal and professionaldevelopmentphenomenaisconcernedwithindividualandorganisational development both(Katz and et. al., 2020). The present work is based on such practices as well which involves evaluation of small, medium and long term goals of individuals and the tools they uses for making these improvements. One most common and effectual tool is a Professional Development plan which is a document that is build as a blueprint and directs them in right path. Moreover, the report also conducts a thorough evaluation of the resources used by considering over their Authors, Purposes, Reliability and Relevance(Yielder and Moir, 2016). TASK 1 1. Define the concept of personal and professional development. The concept of personal and professional development is a continuous and ongoing phenomena which is related with engaging in activities which are beneficial for individuals for upliftingtheirskillsetsanddiversifyingtheirlearnings(Grit,2019).Thepersonaland professional development is a systematic approach which an individual adopt for making rigorous and necessary changes in themselves. A plan known as PDP (Professional Development Plan) is used for guidance and allocation of exact practices which are helpful for them to move forward in their careers. A PDP is attached in the appendix at the end of the report(Rubens and et. al., 2018). 2. Describe and discuss the value of short-term goals identifying at least 3 personal examples. The short term goals are those which are easily attainable and are more concentrated on the day to day efficiency and development of a person in their professional context. These aims are also known or determines as small milestones in the journey or path of better career(Bowen, 2018). Some of the examples goals which normally individuals have as their short period aims to achieve are as follows:ï‚·Communication Skillsï‚·Work Life Balance ï‚·Interpersonal Skills
3. Describe and discuss the value of medium-term goals identifying at least 3 personal examples. The medium term goals are the value adding aims in life and success of a professional and the learner. The medium term goals needs a little more time to be successfully achieved and gain excellence(DiPaola and Wagner,2018). These skills and goals helps the person in longer term and in their growth.Some of the examples are as presented:Decision Making SkillsProblem Solving Skills Team Working Skills 4. The long term goals are the ultimate objective or skill set a person needs to attain in order to a successful and healthy career. The long term goals are established and attained with the guidance received from the accomplishment of short and long term goals(Bintani, 2020). The sources are used while the writer make use of others work for making their personal judgements and conclusions on certain topics that are similar to their agendas. The ‘Author, Purpose, Reliability and Relevance’ are some general factors which affects the use of resources or sources while conducting a discussion. The writer make the work according to the information gathered from the articles and work made by others. Hence, these resource plays a major role and renders key value to work and conclusions of the user and thus, their importance is significant (Gotea and Bódi, 2017).
