Introduction
Academic skills are talents that could benefits both academic pursuits like learning, report
writing and presentation (Chemali, and et.al., 2017). In this report there is a discussion of value
of gaols and there is a construction of personal development plan. Then it consists of assessment
of the sources.
Task 1
Perception of personal and professional development
Personal development plan is the plan which is used at the time of planning the actions
based on the reflection and being aware of what changes what they make and setting of their
gaols and objectives in the carer and in education for their own improvement. Reflection is
necessary for the personal nd professional development and giving an attention to the subject that
needs improvements. Reflection is discussed as the instrument which is used for learning and
long lasting habits.
Importance of short term goals
Short term gaols are the gaols which are set by individual in achieve in the near future.
Achieving short term gaols helps the students and individual in moving forward towards their
medium and long term goals. And achieving them successfully.
Examples of short term goals are:
 To make good communication.
 To focus on stress management
 To focus on time management
 Speaking in public and presentation making.
Importance of medium term goals
Medium term gaols are the goals which are to be achieve by an individual in 6-12 months
(Gonzalo, and et.al., 2017). Every individual have these gaols and they focus on achieving on
their given and standard time limits. These goals are to be more focused because if person des
not pay attention then they may get disrupted.
Examples of medium term goals are:
 Becoming a leader in a company.
