IntroductionThe Health and social care is a growing area and in organization there are variouspolicies which are related to health and social care. This report is articulated to analyse practicesof health and social care in organization. In this context, the organization undertaken for presentstudy is Almond Tree Residential Centre which is a British company which provides social andhealth care. The cited firm works with primary care trusts, doctors and councils to deliversupport and care for older people and people with mental health problems and learningdisabilities.This present report will focus on roles and responsibilities of manager in both internaland external environment of organization. Along with it, report will emphasis on contribution ofmanager to develop and implement the policies. Further this report will concluded withrecommendations to develop contribution meet good required practices.4.1 Roles, responsibilities and duties of care assistant within and outside of organizationIn present time I am working as a care assistant in Almond Tree Residential Centre andat workplace my roles, responsibilities and duties are described below:Fulfilling the requirements and needs: This is the main role which are assistant has toplay. He/she need to take the patient to his/her Doctor. In other words care assistant hasthe responsibility to take appointment of the Doctor in case of emergency or when Doctorwants to meet the patient. In addition to this, care assistant has to make bed, preparemeal, provide the patient with timely meditations, etc. In short, care assistant has toperform also the basic requirement of the patients. Cooperate with other members- Working as a care assistant in Almond TreeResidential Centre, I have to support and cooperate with every staff members, so, theycan share their ideas, suggestions and problems (Health service development andplanning, 2011). Care assistant have to analyse and identify the areas in which he/sheneeds training and accordingly they should develop their skills. Training is very helpfulin improving the skills and knowledge. There are times when help is required inproviding care to patients. In this context, coordination is very essential so as to provideproper care to the patient. 1
