The concepts of strategic HR represent the management of benefits administration to the
training and development along with the other related aspects needed to improve the
performances of the employees, furthermore, ensure consistent and effective management of
human resources at AstroBank Limited in Cyprus (Mello 2014). With regards to the strategic
human resources, there are certain recommendations made on behalf of the vertical fit at the
organisation and these include:
Considering the representation of functional strategies with the management of
vertical fit, it is recommended to align the management of marketing method and
techniques with the corporate and business strategies for improving the overall
performance and make sure to gain strategic advantage in business.
It is also recommended for the vertical fit alignment to ensure that the financial
management procedures remain inclined with the corporate strategies too
The management of strategic information and strategic human resources aligned with
the corporate goals and objectives of the organisation, i.e., AstroBank, has also been
recommended for the purpose of meeting the performance management goals and
derive the best potential of the employees.
It is also recommended to implement high compensation and benefits schemes along
with management of decentralisation and self-managed teams with the aim of keeping
the employees motivated and encouraged all throughout too
Horizontal fit with regards to HR
Based on the horizontal fit with regards to strategic human resources concept, it is
recommended to allocate the resources, both financial resources and human resources
