INTRODUCTION
Management is the art of getting things done through others. To manage the working of
enterprise the entity must execute corporate social responsibilities so that each things can be
conducted in better mode (Scholl, 2018).
The present report is based on business activities of ASDA, it is british supermarket
retailer engaged in grocery services. Furthermore, report will cover corporate social
responsibility to strategy, how Brexit affects working of enterprise.
MAIN BODY
1. Identify key issues organisation is facing with use of relevant management theory.
One of the major issues faced by ASDA employees was discriminated on the part of
payment. Thus, women has filed the complaints regarding their role as shop-floor workers and
they paid less than equivalent work carried out by male colleagues in the company warehouse.
Due to this, the employees started feeling demotivated and they started living enterprise (Crane,
Matten and Spence, 2019.). Hence, it must be noted that this was causing high impact on brand.
Management theory-
Enterprise as ASDA must have the use of Human relations theory and this is theory with
help of it major focus must be given on aligning the needs of the workers and firm must adopts
the policies by focussing over the mutual benefits. This theory also helps in adoption of policies
that aimed to have mutual benefit.
Course of action-
Thus, enterprise as ASDA must followed the rights that has framed by legal authorities of
United Kingdom. This is term that aids to perform working in better and effective manner. As
per the Equality pay act 2010, gives the right to equal pay between women and men for equal
work. It is helpful in order to cover employment and also includes equality in pay and also focus
over the contractual terms.
2. Significance of corporate social responsibility to strategy. Explain how CSR beneficial to
society and future generation.
In order to bring effective performance within the enterprise and to build better human
relations the entity must have the use of corporate social responsibility that aids to improve the
performance of society (Why Corporate Social Responsibility Matters in Today’s Society, 2017.).

It related with the ned idea and plays the more responsible role in the world. Hence, it can be
stated that CSR implementation is the kind of Win-win strategy that aids to provide the various
benefits to the firm as well society. Thus, the issues like pay, quality etc. out the major impact on
the profit margin. By implementing the CSR the firm can able to have the sense to operate its
functions sustainably. It is the term that is defined as to have used to describe how a company
treat with customers, employees.
CSR beneficial to society and future generation.
This term has many advantages so that can be applied to any enterprise, regardless of its
size and sector.
 There are some benefits to CSR and inclusive of-
 It provides better brand recognition.
 It aids to develop positive business reputation.
 This is supportive in terms to enhance sales and customers loyalty.
 By the use of it, operation cost can be saved.
 This approach has greater ability to attract and to maintain the retention of staff.
Hence, it can be stated that corporate social investment will help the firm in order to build
reputation and to gain competitive advantage within the enterprise.
3. Description on how Brexit affect chosen enterprise.
The research has shown that the impact of decision of UK to leave the European Union to
the retail sector is more moderate than it was expected. Hence, Asda reflects that Brexit
outcomes that has created the trade division between the UK and EU has seen the potentially
steep rise in the prices of food (Brexit and the Impact on Retail - Thematic Research”, 2019).
Therefore, the prices of foodstuffs rise by 10% in the worst case scenario. In addition to this, it
can be stated that higher import cost retailers that retailers will pass to consumers as well lack of
availability. It also has been forecasted that non food retail growth is expected to slow
significantly and there will also be rise in rates of inflation that fails to offset the drag on
consumer confidence and it will have sharp decline growth of volume (Darvas and Wolff,
2018).
No-deal Brexit or delayed withdrawal certainly have huge impact on lowered consumer
confidence. Thus, retail markets in UK has suffered the low sales and this was affecting the
profitability and productivity of enterprise.

4. Reflect on experience of working as team at time of preparing and delivering group
presentation.
I have worked in a group presentation and that has given me a unique experience of
dealing with co-workers. We all have worked on the presentation for 2 weeks and this has given
us lot of experience of dealing with team and working in team. Thus, one of the beneficial aspect
of working in team for me was that it aids to enhance the productivity as work shared equally
among team members. It results in completion of task on time and also supports to have faster
and efficient results in productivity. Therefore, I have also faced some challenges at time of
working within team and that was as conflicts over positions, strategies and opinions.
Sometimes, mistrust and ineffective communication leads to affect the whole working. During
the working on presentation I came to identified lacking areas, which was impacting my good
performance as well.
I have identified that I need to put focus on my multi-tasking skill so that I can able to
perform in better and appropriate manner. Hence, I have also identified that my communication
skill must be improved so that from next time I can able to work by having proper interaction.
CONCLUSION
Hereby, it can be concluded that management is essential in order to sustain the business
functions for longer period. Thus, present report is based on working of Asda, it is retailer firm
and engaged in grocery products. Furthermore, report has covered various things as corporate
social responsibility to strategy and it benefits to the society and this has also defined impact
Brexit affects working of enterprise.
