sigma, lean management and Total Quality Management are the methodologies that can help
business organisations to remove the waste and activities that have no value (Farrington, Antony
and O’Gorman, 2018). Six sigma approach provides guidelines for eliminating the waste or
issues by identifying the root cause of the problem. The application of lean management
principles helps in identifying the root cause of the problem through the value stream mapping
stage. So the cafe can make decisions for resolving the root cause of the problem and bring
improvements in the business process.
