Qualitative Research
The research topic is about assessing the importance of human resources and
strategies development in South Africa and Setas. Rather than using a quantitative research
approach, the research study will utilize the qualitative research approach. The qualitative
approach is necessary for this exercise as the research wants to generate new insight into the
research topic Additionally, the researcher is focussed on actively engaging the participants
throughout the process (Collis & Hussey 2013). Since the researcher is concerned with
getting a better understanding of the research topic’s setting and the context problem, they
will be required to solicit and gather information which reveals the explanations behind the
numbers. In such a case, the qualitative research approach is necessary. The researcher’s
worldview for this study is a constructivist approach. It is through this paradigm that a
grounded theory research methodology is proposed to be applied in this research study (Bell
& Bryman 2007).
Through contextualization, the researcher will widen the perspective and the view of
the research. Also, the researcher will be in a position to find the research questions on top of
preparing a well-organized investigation. The researcher will contextualize the research topic
by reviewing the existing literature and examining other research studies related to the topic
(Collis & Hussey 2013). This way, the research topic will be more specific and focused. The
researcher will then broaden the perspective and narrow the research question to specifics.
The researcher will investigate the relevant theories related to the topic and the relevant
disciplines that are applicable. While undertaking the literature review, the researcher should
focus on the research specifics like finding out why, where and by whom the research was
conducted. The reporting of the literature review forms another way of contextualizing the
research where it is expressed the problem’s context and rationale (Saunders, Lewis &
Thornhill 2012).
