This document is a Research Ethics Approval Form designed for students conducting research involving human participants. Research Ethics Approval Form
All students conducting research activity that involves human participants or the use
of data collected from human participants are required to gain ethical approval
before commencing their research. Please answer all relevant questions and note
that your form may be returned if incomplete.
For further support and guidance please see your respective Unit Tutor.
Before completing this form, we advise that you discuss your proposed
research fully with your Unit Tutor. Please complete this form in good time
before your research project is due to commence.

How will participants be recruited (identified and approached)?
The respondents will be segregated into three groups according to their age 12-18, 19-14,
26-30. Each members must be members of fashion media who has keenness towards
social media. The control group members will be approached online with research purpose
stated as online marketing research on the influence of Instagram on fashion media that
has been aiming to collect opinion of each members of fashion media. They will be
informed with the type of study, and research ethics so that they feel free taking
participation in the study. They will further be assured that details and information that they
provide and their identity will never be disclosed to others and will be destroyed after
accomplishment of the study.
Describe the processes you will use to inform participants about what you are doing:
Participants of the study will be informed about the study with a PPT presentation regarding
the purpose and significance of the study followed by an open question and answer
session presented though slideshow helping them clear their doubts if they have any.

How will you obtain consent from participants? Will this be written? How will it be made

Consent will be obtained from each of the control group members as well as permission will
be sought from all the officials of the educational institutes and will be informed about the
received consent through official consent letter duly signed by authorised body. Consent
from control group members will also be considered in written letter accompanied with their
signature.

Who will have access to the data and personal information?
The data and the personal information of the members of the control groups will be access
and handled by the research team allowed by the team leader. All the data and information
collected action will be conducted as per the sanctioned by the team leader to that the
progression of the same can be tracked in better manner and team leader also will direct
about managing sensitive data accurately.
During the research:

Appropriate privacy policies will be considered in storing and handling the data in the offline
hard drives so that no one apart from the assigned team members can have access to the
data stored in the system. Data will not be stored online so that it can be protected from
third party accessibility

Hard disks and hard drives will be used to store the collected data and information obtained
from the control groups. Names or personal identification numbers will not be stored or
collected from the participants. However, data and information from the control group
members will be collected and stored as well according to serial numbers so that disclosure
of their identity and personal details can be avoided.
After the research:
Where will the data be stored?
The data will be stored with the team leader in his/her personal custody in the offline hard
disk or hard drive. No other copy of data or information will be kept with the team members
and will be sent under the possession of the team leader.
How long will the data and records be kept for and in what format?
The data will be destroyed after the accomplishment of the research study so that misuse
of the raw data can be avoided. While carrying out the research study, the data will be
stored in MP4. All the consent forms and availability of permission will be stored in PDF
format.
Will data be kept for use by other researchers?
